Leao's had a quiet game by his standard, but he finally gets the ball to run at Dedic. However, the full-back manages to stay within touching distance of the attacker before nudging it behind. A short-corner routine is eventually cleared by the hosts.21:45

It's 1-1 at half-time following an entertaining first half. Salzburg started with a high intensity and Milan struggled to cope initially. Fernando and Okafor were a constant menace up top, and they eventually combined to give the hosts the lead. Fernando threaded a pass through to Okafor who executed a stunning nutmeg on Kalulu before slotting beyond Maignan. However, the hosts tired towards the end of the half and Milan took advantage when Saelemaekers slammed in to equalise going into the break.21:49

Milan's poor form over the last few years in the Champions League looks set to continue unless they can find a late winner. They've won just one of their last nine Champions League matches (lost six), although that was their last such away game at Atletico Madrid in November 2021. It ends all square at the Red Bull Arena. The hosts started with real intensity and imposed themselves on Milan quickly. They capitalised just before the 30-minute mark, when Fernando fed Okafor who nutmegged Kalulu before beating Maignan. However, Milan rallied while Salzburg tired: an intricate counter-attack brought them level when Saelemaekers slammed in from 10 yards. The second half followed a similar pattern. Salzburg piled on early pressure, with Fernando wasting a huge chance. But they tired and Milan could have snatched it late on when Leao struck the post. Nevertheless, the hosts held on for a creditable 1-1 draw.22:54
