This season, the new-look Bianconeri remain unbeaten in Serie A after five matches, though three draws see them four points adrift of Atalanta at the top of the table.20:36

A rare spell of possession inside the Paris half comes to nothing for Juventus, as their passing lacks penetration and, twice, the ball is repelled when they attempt a throughball. This has been an issue for Juve all season, so they will need to improve in that regard.21:19

Still, PSG sit deep, allowing Juve onto them, but just when it seems that Milik will latch on to a clipped throughball down the centre, the flag goes up to indicate he was offside.21:23

Having progressed into the Juve box from the right, Hakimi exchanged lightning-quick passes with Mbappe, who then struck the hosts' second goal.21:27

As play finally gets back under way, PSG attempt a lofted free-kick over the top. Ramos reaches it near the left byline, but can only direct his first touch at himself and it bounces behind for a Juve goal-kick.21:32

The game has a certain edge to it, without threatening to spill over, and Neymar is now penalised for a foul on Vlahovic.21:33

Cuadrado swings a free-kick in from the right, midway through the PSG half, and he picks out Bremer just inside the box. However, the Brazilian centre-back turns his header over the crossbar; leaving Donnarumma untroubled.21:35

After soaking up a little pressure, PSG are back in control of the ball now, but mostly circulating it around in midfield. They will surely be happy to retain this lead until half-time.21:37

After being picked out by Messi, an ambitious Vitinha attempt sails high over the crossbar - he never really seemed set to strike that properly, and was well off target as a result.21:38

After neat footwork and interplay between Messi, Verratti and Neymar, the latter can't quite latch on to a throughball towards the six-yard box, as Perin dives at his feet to claim the ball. Neymar is down on the turf, apparently hurt, and there are claims that Cuadrado helped him on his way. The referee remains disinterested.21:41

Neymar makes a recovery from his knock, and the game is back under way. Can Juve strike back before half-time?21:41

Paris are staying disciplined here, keeping a shape and absorbing any pressure that their visitors can apply. Juve try switching flanks to open up space, but ultimately lose the ball.21:44

Messi's outswinging corner is headed clear of the area by a Bianconeri-clad defender, but the ball drops straight into the path of Verratti, who lurks on the edge of the box. Not known for his goalscoring prowess, the midfield metronome hacks a left-footed shot high and wide of the target.21:46

The home side are cycling the ball around midfield, playing for the half-time whistle, but given their ability to create something from nothing, Juventus will be wary of conceding a late third before the break.21:48

Neymar hits the deck again, as Miretti mistimes a sliding challenge and sweeps the Brazilian forward off his feet near the centre circle. The teenager is shown a yellow card.21:49

Not only have Paris dictated the tempo for large swathes of the first half, and often bossed the ball, they have unsurprisingly shown the greater individual quality in the moments that matter, and deservedly lead by two goals. A lethal display from ice-cool Mbappe saw the striker net twice within the opening half-hour, aided by excellent assists from Neymar and Hakimi. Juve have rarely threatened to fight back, but Milik was close to scoring on one occasion - how can they find an extra gear, though, and get back into this match?21:56

Within 45 minutes of the 2022-23 Champions League kicking off, Mbappe has been busy setting new highs, as he has now scored eight times in his last eight games in the competition and is also the youngest player to score 35 goals - beating the old record of PSG teammate Messi.22:03

Having been booked during the first half, young Miretti makes way, as Allegri introduces McKennie in the Juve midfield.22:05

Striking a dropping ball from 20 yards out, Kostic warms the gloves of Donnarumma, but his shot is too centrally placed and presents a simple task for the giant goalkeeper to save.22:06

SAVE! Mendes zooms down the left flank and cuts a sharp ball back across the area for Neymar, and the Brazilian lets fly at goal from the edge of the box: it requires Perin to dive down to his right and make a smart save. 22:09

CLOSE! Just seconds after Juventus threatened at the other end, a lightning-fast break by Paris sees Mbappe haring down the right side of the area, but - overstretching - he steers his low shot into the side-netting from a tight angle. 22:11

SHARP STOP! Juve almost pull level, and PSG are rocking: Vlahovic's downward header across the six-yard box forces an excellent save from Donnarumma! Then, McKennie sends a follow-up effort high and wide. Things are getting very interesting in Paris now!22:18

After a spell of midfield possession for Juve, Rabiot strides forward unchallenged and unleashes a firm strike past the left-hand post from just over 20 yards out. There's no doubt, Juventus have re-found their confidence and look a different proposition since the break.22:20

Paredes can only half-block an attempted throughball from Ramos just outside his own area, and the ball breaks to Mbappe, lurking nearby. However, he rushes a right-footed effort on the turn and it rises over the bar. That was a presentable chance to seal his hat-trick.22:23

CLOSE! Paris are now pushing forward again, and after Verratti has a shot blocked, Messi releases Mbappe on the left side of the box. The latter slightly drags his shot, though, and it drifts narrowly wide of the right-hand post!22:25

Paredes stands off his international teammate for too long, so Messi treats himself to an attempt from the right side of the box, which curls about a yard wide of the far post.22:29

Again picking the ball up some 25 yards from goal, Messi drives forward into a shooting position, before firing a shot straight at Perin, which the Juve keeper comfortably saves.22:32

Having made contact with Mbappe's face, in a 50-50 challenge for the ball, Danilo is rather harshly booked.22:33

Juventus go for a fresh approach on the right flank, as Cuadrado is withdrawn and De Sciglio comes on.22:34

Mendes is down clutching his leg, and the action is paused while the medics are called onto the pitch. He looks in some pain.22:35

After completing a quick recovery, Mendes returns from the touchline and the game resumes.22:36

One of PSG's new boys gets a chance to shine on the grand stage, as Mukiele is introduced for Hakimi, who set up the hosts' second goal.22:37

Bremer sends over a dipping cross into the box from the right, and after Mukiele makes a hash of his attempted clearance, Locatelli has two bites of the cherry from close range - international teammate Donnarumma denying him on both occasions. Certainly, Juve have identified PSG's weakness from crosses, which is probably why Allegri started with two tall strikers. That has been a constant source of concern for the hosts - and they are now hanging on rather than threatening to extend their lead.22:44

Newly arrived in Paris, former Valencia captain Soler is offered a brief cameo from the bench; Messi makes way.22:45

Though his free-kick from 25 yards begins to dip towards the top-right corner at the end of its flight, Neymar sees his set-piece effort drop over the top of the crossbar.22:46

Mbappe is now denied by Perin, who is keeping Juventus in this single-handedly at the moment! It was a more straightforward save in a central position this time, but still needed to be made.22:52

McKennie brings down Mbappe, conceding a free-kick, but Paris cannot make much of it. The result now seems set to go in their favour.22:54

Even a stirring start to an open second half was not enough for Juventus to battle back from succumbing to PSG's first-half brilliance, as the French champions get off to a winning start in Group H. A scintillating 45 minutes from Neymar and Mbappe put the hosts firmly in the driving seat, and from thereon in, either goalkeeper was the star man for their side. Both made a couple of important stops as the game wore on, but it is Donnarumma and company who take three points; Juve return to Turin empty-handed.23:02
