Shakhtar hold on to secure a 0-0 draw and deny Inter. The away side dominated this game throughout and had plenty of chances in both halves to take the lead. Lukaku went close on multiple occasions in the first half, with Trubin pulling off one spectacular save to deny the attacker, while Martinez managed to miss an open goal early on in the second period. Shakhtar were mostly content to sit deep and frustrate Inter, but late on they could have snatched it if Tete had opted to shoot when through on goal, rather than aim a pass to Marlos. Nevertheless, both sides failed to take their chances and it ended 0-0.
The result means that Shakhtar add to their victory against Madrid with a credible draw. Inter, meanwhile, sit in second place behind Shakhtar after two disappointing draws.
