An incredibly dramatic second half at the Allianz Stadium comes to a close with Bologna doing just enough to hold on for a 1-1 draw despite playing the last 20 or so minutes with only nine men. Arnautovic’s first-half finish gave the visitors a lead that looked like holding until a wild turn of events following a Soumaoro challenge on Morata which initially went unpunished at the 84th minute. The referee returned from the VAR screen and promptly gave the centre-back his marching orders, which sent Medel into a tirade that also earned him a sending off. Keeping Juventus at bay in the dying stages while playing with two men short was always a difficult task and so it proved - with Vlahovic finally finding the breakthrough via a close-range header following a spectacular Morata assist. Allegri will have to be happy with a draw however as they weren’t able to find the winner despite throwing everything at their opponents. The point keeps Juve fourth while Bologna stay 13th.
Juventus are in action again in midweek when they host Fiorentina in the second leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final encounter. They follow that up with a game against Sassuolo in Serie A on Monday, April 25. Bologna have eight days to rest before welcoming Udinese to the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.
That concludes our commentary of the Serie A fixture between Juventus and Bologna! We hope you’ve enjoyed it!

FULL-TIME: JUVENTUS 1-1 BOLOGNA.20:28
90'+7'
Juventus have picked up the most points (28) in the second half of the Serie A season. On the other hand, Bologna have collected the fewest points away from home in the second half of this campaign (2).20:26
90'+5'
It's an assist of the most spectacular quality from Morata, who manages to put an impromptu overhead kick across the face of goal from a tight angle and into a spot where only Vlahovic could attack it. Magnificent work.20:35
90'+5'
VLAHOVIC RESCUES A POINT FOR JUVENTUS! Bernardeschi’s corner meets the head of Rabiot at the edge of the penalty area, where it’s nodded into the crowd of bodies. Danilo manages to flick it on to the far post for Morata, whose overhead pass across the face of goal sets Vlahovic up with an easy finish! 1-1!
Bernardeschi and Cuadrado work a short-corner routine that allows the former to enter the penalty area up the byline before centring a pass towards the penalty spot. Bonucci is ready and waiting but his eventual first-time shot is dragged wide of the target.20:22
90'+2'
The fourth official adds a justified eight minutes to the end of the 90 for stoppages.20:20
88'
Vlahovic is tasked with taking the free-kick but his left-footed effort is sent high over the crossbar as Juventus squander their chance to test Skorupski!20:18
87'
Bonifazi enters the fray for Bologna, replacing Orsolini in a defensive change.20:17
87'
Dominguez comes on for Kasius, who was only brought on 13 minutes ago.20:17
86'
Kean comes on for De Sciglio with less than five minutes left as Allegri has no other choice but to attack.20:16
84'
MEDEL IS SENT OFF TOO! BOLOGNA DOWN TO NINE! Incensed with the referee's decision to send off Soumaoro, the Chile international has far too much to say to the match official and earns two yellow cards in quick succession as he's sent off as well!20:34
84'
Medel goes over to have a word with the referee following the decision and is immediately shown a yellow card for dissent.20:34
84'
The referee comes back onto the pitch and shows Soumaoro a straight red card for the challenge on Morata which denied a goal-scoring opportunity. After the review however, the match official has deemed that the contact first occurred outside the penalty area - giving Juventus a free-kick from 18 yards out.20:34
83'
There’s a break in play for the video assistant to take a look at the decision to not award a foul. It appears the referee is being called over to the monitor to have a look at what could be a pivotal point in the match.20:33
81'
INCREDIBLE SCENES! Morata charges into the penalty area with possession of the ball, evading a Medel slide tackle before falling under pressure from a heavy shoulder barge from Soumaoro. The referee allows play to continue with the goalkeeper and Bologna’s defence all over the place but Cuadrado fails to hit the back of the open net!20:11
79'
Rabiot gives away a cheap free-kick which ends a Juventus attack after the midfielder charged through the back of Medel to get on the end of a loose pass.20:08
77'
Bologna are in position to win against Juventus for the first time since 26 February, 2011, when a double from former Juventus striker Marco Di Vaio sunk the Bianconeri. The Rossoblu have had 22 opportunities since and failed; could it be 23rd time lucky?20:07
74'
A change in defence for Juve sees Sandro come on for Chiellini.01:15
74'
Soriano is taken off as a precaution with Kasius given a chance to impress.20:03
74'
Aebischer is on for Svanberg as Bologna make a change in midfield.20:03
72'
Play is stopped for Soriano, who went down holding the outside of his leg after a late challenge from Rabiot. The referee intelligently allowed play to continue with Bologna in possession but the captain will need a moment to gather himself after the contact.20:02
70'
Juventus are piling on the pressure and turning up the intensity as the match ticks on but they’ve failed to trouble Skorupski since De Ligt’s header 10 minutes ago. Going forward they look capable of stretching the Bologna defence at every opportunity but gaps appearing in the rear could lead to a chance on the counter for the visitors.20:01
68'
Arnautovic has scored each of Bologna's last six league goals - in their Serie A history, only one player has matched that feat - Angelo Schiavio in 1933. 19:58
66'
Svanberg and Orsolini work a short-corner routine which allows the latter to cut inside and curl an effort with his left foot - which flies harmlessly wide.19:54
65'
Confirmation of the enforced alteration as Barrow comes on to replace the injured Arnautovic.19:53
64'
Arnautovic is down holding his lower back prior to a Bologna throw-in, with the forward looking in some pain on the turf. He’ll limp off to receive treatment but there’s a real possibility a change will have to be made with just over 25 minutes left in the match.19:53
62'
The changes seem to indicate that Danilo will be pushed back to his more natural role at full-back, covering the spot left behind by Pellegrini’s withdrawal. That allows Zakaria to play at the base of the midfield trio, which is where he is most often deployed.19:50
60'
Zakaria comes on for Pellegrini in the third of Juve's changes with 30 minutes remaining.19:49
59'
An alteration in defence sees Bonucci sent on for De Ligt.19:48
59'
Dybala is taken off just shy of the hour, with Bernardeschi his replacement.19:48
58'
POINT-BLANK SAVE! Cuadrado’s delivery from a set-piece again finds a team-mate, with De Ligt stretching to get on the end of the cross six yards from goal. The Netherlands international catches the ball squarely and turns his effort towards goal but again Skorupski prevents an equaliser!19:48
57'
Rabiot is pulled back by Soriano to prevent an attack right in front of the referee, who has no other option but to award Juventus a free-kick.19:47
56'
OFF THE INSIDE OF THE POST AND OUT! WHAT LUCK! Cuadrado’s corner from the right finds the leaping figure of Danilo, who turns his header goalwards - with Skorupski’s outstretched hand no match for the header. The goalkeeper’s best friend comes up trumps however, with the post preserving Bologna’s lead and adding to Allegri’s frustrations.19:45
54'
Arnautovic's goal against Juventus is his third in just two games, after a run of three-consecutive games without finding the back of the net; all matches in which Bologna failed to score.19:44
52'
Soriano finally manages to link up with Arnautovic for an assist, just minutes after the striker narrowly missed a chance which was supplied by the Bologna captain.19:42
52'
BOLOGNA TAKE THE LEAD! Three days shy of his 33rd birthday, Arnautovic powers his side ahead, latching onto Soriano’s throughball with an intelligent run inside the penalty area before rounding Szczesny and turning the ball into the open goal! 1-0!
A CHANCE AT THE OTHER END! Pellegrini’s fantastic cross into the six-yard box sends Skorupski diving at shadows, while the ball narrowly misses the head of a leaping Morata. It falls at the back post perfectly for Rabiot, who is unable to turn the chance into a goal despite a gaping net!19:39
48'
WHAT A CHANCE! Lovely play from Bologna to open the second half with Soriano taking up a position on the right wing before cutting inside on his favoured left and firing a low cross into the penalty area for Arnautovic. The striker manages to turn Chiellini and fire a shot towards goal but he drags the effort inches wide! 19:37
46'
Bologna get the match restarted from the kick-off!19:34
With all three of Juventus’ main attacking options already on the pitch, perhaps it’s a case of changing how the side attack and through which avenues. With Cuadrado on a booking perhaps the introduction of Bernardeschi could provide a different point of attack, while the introduction of Kean at striker is likely the longer the match stays level. Bologna will likely introduce either Aebischer or Dominguez in the second half in order to inject fresh legs into the midfield, while Barrow could stretch the play late on.19:19
A tight and cagey contest at the Allianz Stadium is without a leader halfway through, as Juventus and Bologna enter the half-time interval level at 0-0. Bologna’s impressive defensive run has continued in this match, with the visitors doing well to limit the chances of their opponents; retaining their shape and often using possession of the ball both in an attacking and defensive sense. Juventus have not been able to foster a connection between their three forwards, with Vlahovic receiving limited service in the opening half. It’s finely poised as we enter the second period, with both sides justified in feeling that the result is there for the taking.19:19
45'+1'
HALF-TIME: JUVENTUS 0-0 BOLOGNA.19:19
45'
Svanberg's corner late in the half is headed away by Chiellini but only as far as Arnautovic, whose audacious volleyed effort goes nowhere near the target.19:18
43'
Dybala’s delivery from the free-kick is a waste, with the ball sailing almost immediately over the crossbar.19:16
41'
Back to do his defensive work, Arnautovic goes clattering through Cuadrado near the byline with no real chance to win the ball. It's a yellow for the Austria international - who will miss the next game as a result.19:15
40'
Bologna have conceded the fewest goals from corners in the current Serie A season: only one (against Inter, with Milan Skriniar the scorer).19:14
38'
Danilo strides forward and opts to take a hit from distance which fails to trouble Skorupski, who can watch the ball sail wide for a goal-kick.19:11
36'
Pellegrini is tasked with taking the ensuing corner but Skorupski comes a long way off his line to make a flailing one-handed punch which puts it out for a throw.19:09
35'
De Sciglio whips a dangerous cross into the penalty area after overlapping Cuadrado but Hickey does just enough to put off Morata and turn the ball behind for a corner.19:08
33'
Cuadrado bursts forward looking to find the run of Morata but his switch of play is dragged low on the turf, allowing Hickey to nip in ahead of the forward to win the ball, before earning a free-kick.19:07
31'
A late Cuadrado challenge on Orsolini on the edge of the Bologna penalty area earns the Colombia international a yellow card while leaving quite the mark on the visiting forward.19:05
29'
Schouten’s low pass fizzed in to the edge of the penalty area is met by Orsolini, whose lay-off finds Svanberg. The midfielder hammers a first-time shot towards Szczesny but he too fails to trouble the goalkeeper.19:02
27'
Cuadrado stands over a Juventus set-piece 20 yards from goal on the right edge of the penalty area. Shaping to cross, the Colombia international delivers his free-kick towards the far post but the poor delivery evades the Juventus forwards as it goes behind for a goal-kick.19:01
25'
Orsolini drives into the penalty area and gets to the byline but without a team-mate in the vicinity, the forward is forced to just put his head down and drive a shot at the goalkeeper. Szczesny steps off his line and deals with the hit well, catching it and preventing a rebound.18:58
23'
Soriano plays a dangerous cross to the far post for an unmarked Hickey, whose late run into the penalty area went undetected by the Juventus defence. The wing-back is unable to lay the ball off for a team-mate, however, giving the hosts to bring the ball up the pitch on the counter.18:57
21'
A well-worked goal-kick between Medel and Skorupski allows for a beautiful pass floated into space by the goalkeeper for Svanberg, who is immediately fouled by Cuadrado. The visitors have shown a willingness to try different things from all manner of set-pieces; including ones in their defensive area.18:55
18'
After allowing play to continue, the referee comes back to an earlier sliding challenge made by Svanberg on Chiellini, which never had the possibility of winning the ball. It’s a yellow card for the Bologna midfielder; the second booking of the day for the visitors.01:15
17'
Svanberg’s corner from the left is taken short to Soriano, who works it back to his team-mate. It’s a clever little move to work a cross from a different angle but a poor delivery into the penalty area fails to work the Juventus defence sufficiently.18:51
15'
A WHISKER WIDE! The Argentina international steps up and hits the set-piece with his left foot, curling his effort up and over the wall efficiently before narrowly missing the inside of the post! It remains 0-0.18:48
13'
A Juventus counter-attack is stopped in its tracks by Theate, who comes across to close down Rabiot only to use his hand to break up the move. It’s a yellow card to the centre-back, while Juventus are presented with an opportunity to challenge Skorupski from the ensuing free-kick.18:47
11'
JUST OVER! Morata drifts out wide to the left and cuts in on his stronger right foot before hooking a cross into the penalty area, which is met by a leaping Vlahovic. The striker’s header sends Skorupski into a full-stretch dive but the effort fails to hit the target, nestling on top of the goal.18:45
9'
A cheap giveaway from Dybala after a mix-up with Danilo presents the ball to Orsolini on the edge of the penalty area, where he strikes a curling first-time effort with his left foot that sails over the crossbar.18:44
7'
Orsolini dinks a chipped ball into the penalty area with the outside of his foot for the run of Arnautovic but Chiellini strolls across to shepherd the ball out of play for a goal-kick.18:41
5'
Svanberg’s pass through the lines in midfield is a little too ambitious, which leads to a turnover in possession inside Bologna’s half. Rabiot wins the ball and finds Dybala with a pass but the forward fails to find the target with his shot from distance.18:38
3'
Bologna look comfortable in the early stages playing it out from the back, inviting the Juventus press deep in midfield before knocking it around Dybala to keep the move flowing.18:37

With 15 minutes to go before kick-off, let's take a look at how the two sides are lining up - starting with our hosts!18:16
It’s looking like another season of midtable consolidation for Bologna, who are 20 points back of a European place, but 15 points above the relegation zone. A 0-0 draw against Milan two weeks ago was followed up with a 2-0 win over struggling Sampdoria to keep a record of three clean sheets in their last five matches.18:07
Juventus have righted the ship after a turbulent start to the season, with four wins in their last five matches giving the Bianconeri a five-point cushion in the Champions League positions. Maximiliano Allegri’s team are theoretically not out of the title race either; nine points back of Milan with six games remaining.18:05
