They took the lead early in the first half, Simy slotting past Buffon from the penalty spot after Bonucci had tripped the livewire Reca. Juve responded as Kulusevski and Chiesa combined to set up Morata at close range, but their job was made harder when Chiesa was shown a straight red on debut for a second-half foul on Cigarini. Crotone were impressive throughout but it was Juve who had the ball in the net next. Morata turned in Cuadrado's low cross but after a lengthy VAR check, the goal was ruled out for offside.
A point takes Juventus up to fourth ahead of Sassuolo, who have played a game less. Crotone are off the foot of the table, but still in the bottom three.
