The hosts had the better of the first half and could've led more than 1-0 at half-time if not for Handanovic, but only Sottil found a breakthrough. Two goals in three minutes after the break turned things around for Inter, with Darmian and Dzeko beating Dragowski. Gonzalez was then sent off for two yellow cards in eight seconds, both for dissent, before Perisic rounded off the scoring with a close-range finish.
Inzaghi will be especially pleased by the second-half performance and that win moves Inter back to the top of the table for now. Next up for them is Atalanta on Saturday. Fiorentina's three-game winning run comes to an end and Italiano will be hoping they can bounce back against Udinese next time out.
