A hard-fought win for Inter as they turned the game around in the second half with goals from Barella, D'Ambrosio and Lukaku. Cagliari fought well in the first half and found themselves a goal up at the break thanks to Sottil's brilliant volley but the quality of Inter proved too much in the second half and Conte's side were deserved winners in the end.
This win means Inter move into 2nd in Serie A now just two points behind city rivals AC Milan who play this evening. Cagliari miss the chance to move into the top half of the table and remain in 12th position. Up next for Cagliari is an away trip to Parma, whilst Inter host Napoli in a top four clash on Wednesday night.
