Juventus win their final game of 2021 as they see off Cagliari 2-0. Kean hit the post with a header early in the first half, before breaking the deadlock before half-time, guiding his effort back across goal from the middle of the box. Dalbert had a brilliant chance to equalise but fired wide from close range before Szczesny tipped over Pedro's header. Bernardeschi rounded it off after a quick break, drilling it past Cragno late on.

That win lifts Juventus into fifth in the table, now just four points behind Atalanta, who drew their game against Genoa. Their first game of the new year is against Napoli. Cagliari stay in 19th and are still three points from safety, for now. They travel to Sampdoria next.

That's all for today, goodbye!

  1. 90'+5'

    FULL-TIME: JUVENTUS 2-0 CAGLIARI.22:36

  2. 90'+3'

De Sciglio is caught on the ball and Cagliari switch it out to Bellanova on the right. He has a lot of options in the box but hits his cross straight against De Ligt. 22:43

  3. 90'+1'

Into five minutes of added time here, and it's Cagliari that are in possession. It's all in their own half though and they can't find a way through Juventus to get themselves upfield.22:33

  4. 89'

And Bernardeschi is also taken off, with De Sciglio on in his place.22:31

  5. 89'

Final changes for Juventus now. Morata is the first to make way, with Jorge on to replace him.22:31

  6. 87'

Keita is allowed a lot of time on the ball, and he tries to go long over the top to pick out Pavoletti. He overhits the pass though, with Alex Sandro cutting it out for Juventus. 22:44

  7. 85'

It's a late challenge from Pavoletti on Alex Sandro, and he has his name taken by the referee.22:27

  8. 84'

Cagliari are making another change following that goal, with Keita coming on in place of Dalbert.22:27

  9. 83'

It's a good bit of skill from Kulusevski to get away from Dalbert on the halfway line before he sets off on the quick break for the hosts.22:26

  10. 83'

BERNARDESCHI SCORES! Zappa's cross-field pass is cut out by Kulusevski, and he knocks it past Dalbert before driving forward. He squares it into Bernardeschi on the edge of the box, and he takes a touch before firing it past Cragno and into the far side of the net. 2-0 Juve!

    Federico Bernardeschi
  11. 83'

Third change for Juventus now, and it's Arthur that's going off for Locatelli.22:26

  12. 82'

The home fans aren't happy with the referee as another free-kick is given against Morata. He has a chance to break on the counter, but he's judged to have caught Ceppitelli in the face, with the defender dropping to the ground.22:24

  13. 80'

Kulusevski shields the ball from Oliva and nods it down for Morata. He stretches to bring it down in front of Ceppitelli and turns to get a clear run at goal, but the defender goes down and wins a free-kick, much to Morata's frustration.22:45

  14. 78'

McKennie dances away from Grassi as he cuts inside from the left and he tries to play a one-two with Kulusevski. The American trips on the edge of the D though, and Ceppitelli uses that chance to clear his lines.22:20

  15. 76'

Lykogiannis' run down the left is cut out by Bentancur, and he hooks it upfield for Kulusevski to chase. He almost brings it under control until Bellanova steps across him, and he does well to win a free-kick as he was the only one back for Cagliari.22:19

  16. 74'

Pavoletti backed into De Ligt, but accidentally caught the defender in the face with his elbow when he tripped. He's got a cut on his cheek, but he'll be okay to carry on after he's been patched up.22:16

  17. 72'

Kean seemed to jar his knee as he tried to challenge Dalbert, and he's coming off after receiving treatment. Kulusevski is on in his place. 22:14

  18. 71'

Second change for Cagliari now, and it's Deiola that's making way for Oliva.22:12

  19. 70'

Cagliari are starting to grow into this game now, and they're putting Juventus under some good pressure at the moment. Lykogiannis makes a good run down the left before drilling in a cross, but it's cut out by Bonucci.22:12

  20. 68'

GREAT SAVE! It's another well-worked move by Cagliari, with Zappa curling a great cross in from the right. Pedro just pulls away from De Ligt and flicks the header down the middle of the goal, but Szczesny tips it over with a strong hand.22:10

  21. 66'

It's a good throughball from Alex Sandro to pick out McKennie, and he steps away from the challenge from Grassi. He unselfishly tries to lay it off to Bentancur instead of having a shot, but it's cut out by Deiola.22:08

  22. 64'

Cagliari are making their first change of the game now. It's Pereiro that's going off, with Pavoletti on to replace him.22:06

  23. 63'

McKennie fizzes the ball into Bernardeschi and there are some half-hearted shouts for handball as it bounces up to his side. He does well to spin away from Zappa to open up space on the edge of the box but then slices his shot well wide. 22:05

  24. 61'

CLOSE! Bellanova flicks it onto Deiola down the right and he breezes past Alex Sandro before curling a dangerous low cross into the six-yard box. Bonucci misses it, but Dalbert is behind him and tries to place it into the bottom corner, but he sends it just wide. 22:03

  25. 59'

Another corner is curled into the box for Juventus and Bonucci rises highest to flick it on. Cragno is quick off his line to punch it away though from close range.22:01

  26. 57'

Kean is the youngest striker to score at least three goals in Serie A this season; he's netted a goal in three of the six games that he's started in the league this campaign.21:59

  27. 55'

Kean strides away on the counter down the left, but he's crowded off the ball by Zappa and Bellanova when he gets into the box. Morata gets up in support and wins a free-kick, but Bernardeschi fires over when he's picked out by Cuadrado.21:57

  28. 53'

Pereiro uses his arm to block Alex Sandro's pull back and Bernardeschi swings in the free-kick from the left. He's looking for Arthur at the near post, but his header loops high and wide.21:55

  29. 51'

CLOSE! Juve win yet another corner and Cuadrado whips it into the near post this time. Alex Sandro is unmarked as he glances it towards goal, but he sends it just wide of the target.21:53

  30. 50'

Cuadrado curls another deep corner into the box and De Ligt pulls away at the far post to nod it back across the box. Alex Sandro is stretching for it, but can't bring it down ahead of Carboni.21:52

  31. 48'

Cragno goes long from a free-kick and Deiola ducks to let it run through to Bellanova. He skips past Alex Sandro, wrongfooting the left-back, before seeing his cross blocked by De Ligt.21:50

  32. 46'

Juve get us back underway for the second half!21:47

  33. 46'

There's a change for Juventus at the break. Rabiot isn't coming back out, with McKennie on in his place. 21:47

  34. Juventus put a lot of pressure on Cagliari, but only had one shot on target, which resulted in the goal. They've dominated but need to be more clinical. As for Cagliari, they desperately need something out of this game to give themselves some hope of avoiding relegation. They've had a couple of bright moments, but need to take more risks.21:41

  35. Kean's header gives Juventus a 1-0 lead over Cagliari at the break. For all of their possession, Juventus didn't create too many chances, but their best ones fell to Kean. He thumped a header against the post early in the half, before breaking the deadlock in the 40th minute. Bernardeschi whipped a cross in, and he guided it back across goal into the near post.22:14

  36. 45'+1'

    HALF-TIME: JUVENTUS 1-0 CAGLIARI.21:30

  37. 44'

Pereiro intercepts Alex Sandro's throughball and turns to try and set Deiola off on the counter. It's a poor pass into him though and Juventus are able to quickly win it back.21:30

  38. 42'

Bernardeschi has dropped deep into his own half and he tries to go long to Kean, but Grassi steps in to intercept it. A loose touch gifts it back to Kean, but the forward can't sort his feet out quickly enough to get a shot away.21:28

  39. 40'

KEAN SCORES! Juventus win the ball back high upfield again, with Bernardeschi pulling away from Carboni to curl a great cross into the box. Kean gets in between the two defenders and doesn't have to jump to get on the end of it. He directs his header back across to the near post, and Cragno can't get anywhere near it. 1-0 Juve!

    See Moise Kean's player card21:28

    Moise Kean
  40. 39'

Grassi isn't alert to the danger as Bentancur closes in behind him. He's backed into a corner before gifting the ball to Rabiot and he's lucky that Zappa got back to block the cross.21:25

  41. 37'

Cuadrado curls another free-kick into the box for Juventus, but all of his team-mates have pulled away to the far post. Ceppitelli clears it just ahead of Kean, who would've had a free header behind him.21:23

  42. 35'

Bentancur is sprinting away on the counter and Dalbert just can't catch up. He pushes the forward to stop his run which earns him a yellow card. That also means he'll miss Cagliari's next match.21:21

  43. 34'

Rabiot goes to ground in the box and he's asking the referee for a penalty. There was barely any contact from Zappa though and the referee shakes his head as he points for a goal-kick.21:20

  44. 32'

Cuadrado is caught on the ball deep in his own half by Pedro and it ricochets away from them. The forward chases it down, but Szczesny is alert and rushes out of his box to hook it away.21:18

  45. 30'

There's a rare chance for Cagliari to put the ball in the box after Deiola brushes past Alex Sandro and curls in a cross. He picks out Grassi at the far post, but he gets caught under it, and his header loops over21:15

  46. 28'

Cuadrado dummies a cross before pulling it back to Arthur through the middle. He does whip the ball into the box, but it's too high for Kean, who is running onto it at the far post. 21:14

  47. 26'

Cagliari just can't get out of their own half at the moment, and Cragno goes long to try and ease the pressure on the defenders. Pereiro can't bring it down under pressure from Rabiot though and Juventus have possession back.21:11

  48. 24'

Carboni is scrambling across to Bernardeschi and sticks out a leg to trip the forward. It's a high tackle and it earns him the first yellow card of the game.21:10

  49. 22'

Alex Sandro does well to hold off Bellanova before clipping a cross into the box. Bernardeschi cushions it down for Cuadrado, who hits the shot on the half-volley, but Carboni throws himself in front of it to make a block.21:08

  50. 20'

Rabiot lays it off to Morata and his first touch loops away from him to Ceppitelli. He stops, claiming it hit the defender's hand in the box, but it bounced back to him and he missed a chance to have a shot.21:06

  51. 18'

Arthur goes long through the middle and Rabiot lets it run all the way through to Kean on the edge of the box. He flicks it onto Morata to his left, but he wasn't expecting it which gave Bellanova the chance to clear.21:04

  52. 16'

It's great play from Juventus down the left, with Kean's throughball taking Deiola out of the game as it's slid through to Rabiot. He holds off Zappa to take it to the byline, but his low cut back is held by Cragno.21:01

  53. 14'

Cagliari haven't scored in five of their seven Serie A matches away from home under Mazzarri, drawing three and losing four during this run.21:00

  54. 12'

Cagliari are dropping deeper in their own half to close off the space ahead of the hosts, and Cuadrado tries to curl an early cross into Morata this time. The forward had just drifted offside though, and the flag goes up as Ceppitelli clears his lines.20:59

  55. 10'

OFF THE POST! Juventus are patiently building up from the back with no luck until Cuadrado drifts away from Lykogiannis down the right. He whips a good cross into Kean at the far post and he thumps his header against the post.20:58

  56. 8'

Cuadrado can't find a way out and Dalbert isn't making it any easier on him. The right-back is scurrying back towards his own goal and does well to squeeze a pass to Szczesny before Dalbert steps in. 20:54

  57. 6'

Pereiro's free-kick isn't cleared away convincingly by the hosts, but they manage to get it out to Morata, who drives down the left. He has no one up with him in support though and the attack quickly breaks down.20:52

  58. 4'

The free-kick from Bernardeschi is deflected out for a corner, and it's taken deep to De Ligt at the far post. He nods it back across the six-yard box to Kean, but he flicks his header wide.20:49

  59. 2'

Cagliari are keeping possession well until a loose pass from Zappa gifts possession to Kean. He squares it Bentancur, who tries to tee up Morata, but a late challenge from Ceppitelli means Juventus end up with a free-kick.20:55

  60. 1'

Pedro gets the game underway for Cagliari!20:45

  61. The teams are out on the pitch now, with kick-off just moments away!20:43

  63. Walter Mazzarri makes four changes to the side that lost to Udinese last time out, with Zappa, Deiola, Lykogiannis and Pereiro all coming into the team. Pavoletti drops to the bench, Razvan Marin misses out through suspension and Diego Godin is left out of the squad.20:37

  64. Massimiliano Allegri makes just two changes from the win over Bologna at the weekend, bringing in Alex Sandro and Bentancur. Pellegrini picked up a calf injury in that match, but is fit enough for the bench, with McKennie also amongst the substitutes.20:34
