The referee blows the full-time whistle, and a thrilling encounter comes to an end at San Siro. Verona did incredibly well to hold out for so long, but the pressure just proved too much and their lack of a counter-attacking threat in the second half eventually helped Milan find their equaliser. Verona led 2-1 at the break as Barak and Zaccagni found the back of the net, before Magnani's own goal gave Milan a chance. Milan had two goals disallowed, they hit the crossbar, and they missed a penalty. But when it mattered, Ibrahimovic found a way to drag them level as the points are shared.
Even though they have made a superb start to the season, Milan need to improve defensively at set-pieces. They looked far too vulnerable in the first half. Going forward they look threatening and effective, and in all honesty, tonight's game could have been out of Verona's reach without the brilliance of Silvestri. He really has proved himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the division.
