The full-time whistle goes, and Juventus surpass that early Cagliari goal to take all three points! It wasn't pretty by either team, but Juve peppered the hosts' goal in that second half and finally got their reward through that rather fortunate winner from Vlahovic! Cagliari held on well, but couldn't secure a point, meaning they miss the chance to pull away from the bottom three.

Winning scorer Vlahovic was lively all game long, and finished it with two shots on target from five attempts. Two others were blocked, and the Serb also completed a key pass and competed in a game-high 17 duels, showing how involved he was in everything good about Juve's performance!

That win sees Juve keep pace with the top three, closing the gap to four points behind Napoli and the Milan clubs. Cagliari stay 17th, and that one-goal loss means they now have a worse goal difference than the side below them Venezia, who now have two games in hand over the Sardinians.

  1. That's all from us, we hope you enjoyed the game. We'll see you for the next one, goodbye!22:44

  2. 90'+4'

    FULL-TIME: CAGLIARI 1-2 JUVENTUS.22:38

  3. 90'+3'

After a Cagliari free-kick is crossed in and dealt with by the Juve defence, the hosts again try a cross into the box through Rog, but Szczesny claims it easily.22:38

  4. 90'+1'

WIDE!!! Pereiro cuts inside from the right and feigns shooting twice, before letting fly and seeing his curling effort float just past the far post!22:37

  5. 90'

We'll play four minutes of stoppage time to close out this game.22:36

  6. 89'

Juve took their time to nestle a winning goal and breach the Cagliari defence, but they've not been made to work very hard to extend or defend it. Cagliari have offered nothing in this half, and had Juventus been more clinical, it could have been four or five goals to one.22:48

  7. 87'

A floated cross into the box is headed away by De Ligt, and Bellanova's follow-up shot is also blocked by Bonucci!22:31

  8. 86'

Cuadrado has been another stand-out performer for Juventus in this game, and Max Allegri brings him off to shore up the defence with the introduction of Leonardo Bonucci.22:30

  9. 84'

Pellegrini and Bernardeschi are both on the ground after being caught late by Bellanova and Pereiro respectively. The first foul, on Pellegrini, is the one penalised.22:29

  10. 82'

The hosts have a rare spell of possession in the Juve box, but Marin loses out to Arthur on the edge of the area and Juventus look to counter.22:25

  11. 81'

Dybala's been practically unplayable at times, but he's withdrawn for a more direct attacking threat, in the form of Moise Kean.22:24

  12. 80'

The Cagliari defence was finally breached in the second half by that Vlahovic goal, and it remains to be seen if that will be the straw that breaks the camel's back for the home side.22:24

  13. 79'

Deiola is also replaced, and Keita Balde will take his place on the pitch.22:23

  14. 79'

Lykogiannis comes off following that shot, replaced by Adam Obert.22:23

  15. 79'

Joao Pedro plays the ball wide to Lykogiannis, who tries his luck from a good 40 yards and only narrowly misses the far post with his low drive!22:22

  16. 77'

Vlahovic has now scored five goals in his last six games against Cagliari in Serie A, including a goal for Fiorentina in the first part of this season, and his first ever goals in the top-flight back in 2019.22:20

  17. 75'

GOOOAAAALLLL!!! There it is!!!! Dybala plays a ball through for Vlahovic, and despite Altare getting to it first, his outstretched leg smashes the ball into Vlahovic and beyond Cragno! Lucky perhaps, but it's been coming, and Juventus lead 2-1!

    See Dusan Vlahovic's player card22:20

    Dusan Vlahovic
  18. 73'

Juve are keeping the ball ridiculously easily at the moment. There's very little pressure coming from the hosts, who are retreating in greater numbers towards their own box by the minute. They've managed to keep the Bianconeri at bay so far in this half, but it looks to be a case of when, not if, the visitors will get their second.22:47

  19. 71'

WIDE!!! Dybala looks to create shooting space, but is crowded out and tees up Cuadrado. He has a go from the very edge of the box, smashing his effort across goal and just wide of the far post!22:15

  20. 70'

Juve's possession in this half has gone through the roof. 63.1 per cent in the first half was impressive enough, but they've so far managed 73.8 per cent in the second. Dominant, to say the least.22:14

  21. 68'

Rabiot comes off for Juve and Federico Bernardeschi replaces him on the wing.22:12

  22. 68'

WIDE!!! Juve work the ball well to the left and Rabiot puts Vlahovic through on goal, but from a tight angle he can only blast his effort into the side netting!22:12

  23. 67'

Pavoletti's worked tirelessly up front for Cagliari, and is replaced by Gaston Pereiro.22:10

  24. 65'

Juve come forward at pace and attack in numbers, but the ball across to Dybala is a poor one and Cuadrado's follow-up to Arthur is even worse, taking all momentum out of the attack and allowing Cagliari to re-group.22:11

  25. 64'

Chiellini plays in Vlahovic, but Lovato sticks a foot in to win the ball and is fouled by Chiellini upon clearing it.22:07

  26. 62'

Vlahovic drops deep to take a pass from Chiellini, but gets immediate attention from three Cagliari defenders who crowd him out illegally to concede a free-kick.22:05

  27. 60'

Bellanova cuts inside and looks to get free of Pellegrini, but the left-back tugs at his shirt hard enough to warrant a Cagliari free-kick.22:04

  28. 58'

Dalbert is forced off by that injury, and Marko Rog comes on in the game's first change.22:02

  29. 57'

Dalbert is down following a tussle with Cuadrado, and Cagliari captain Joao Pedro heads over to the bench to receive instructions and feedback from Walter Mazzarri as the medical team enter the pitch.22:01

  30. 55'

Despite the two sides being level, Juventus have had 16 shots, compared to just one by the home side. Only four of the Old Lady's efforts have found the target though, and, given that Cagliari's sole effort saw them find the net, will need to improve on their finishing if they're to put the Sardinians to the sword in this half.22:00

  31. 53'

Lykogiannis lunges at Cuadrado and gets the challenge horribly wrong, being nowhere near the ball and being yellow carded as a result.21:57

  32. 52'

Juve win a corner and Cuadradro plays it out to De Ligt, but the goalscorer's cross for Vlahovic is far too heavy and goes behind for a goal kick.21:56

  33. 50'

Zakaria clips Joao Pedro as he attempts to turn out of a challenge, and the hosts will swing the resultant free-kick into the danger area.21:53

  34. 49'

OVER!!! A speculative volleyed pass from Chiellini finds Dybala on the run, but his half-volleyed shot flies over the crossbar! That would've been some goal from the Argentinian!21:52

  35. 47'

BALL IN THE NET!!! Juve think they have a second after Dybala's low volley from a corner is turned into the goal by Chiellini, but the offside flag's up to deny the Juventus captain! That's one goal scored and two disallowed for the Old Lady so far!21:51

  36. 46'

Joao Pedro kicks off the second period for the hosts, and they'll be hoping for another fast start to the half!21:48

  37. The teams are back on the pitch for the second half, and this clash could still easily go either way!21:46

  38. He may not have been directly involved in the goal, but Dybala threatened constantly for Juve throughout that half. Three shots, one of which was on target, as well as 20 passes in Cagliari's half proved vital to Juve's attack, however his 12 losses of possession show how closely marked Dybala was by the home side.21:43

  39. What a bitter blow for the hosts as Juventus equalise right on half-time! Cagliari flew out of the gates to score an unlikely opener just 10 minutes into the contest, but Juve eventually got back into the arm wrestle and would've equalised but for a dubious VAR decision! The Rabiot goal chalked off, the Bianconeri kept on coming, and finally got their goal through De Ligt just seconds before the half-time whistle went!21:35

  40. 45'+2'

    HALF-TIME: CAGLIARI 1-1 JUVENTUS.21:34

  41. 45'+1'

We're a minute into two added on for first-half stoppage time, as Juve equalise just before the break.21:33

  42. 45'

He won the corner and then set up the goal, and what awareness from Cuadrado there to know exactly where De Ligt wanted that ball. 21:33

  43. 45'

GOOOAAALLLL!!!! No doubts about that one!!! Cuadrado takes a one-two from the corner and floats a cross in from the byline. De Ligt attacks it at the far post and heads the ball back into the bottom corner to make it 1-1! It's been coming, and the Bianconeri are finally able to make the pressure tell!

See Matthijs De Ligt's player card21:32

    Matthijs de Ligt
  44. 45'

SAVED!!! With no options in a realistic vicinity, Cuadrado tries his luck and fires a shot from just outside the box. It's a fizzer of an effort too, and Cragno has to stretch to tip it around his near post!21:31

  45. 43'

Lykogiannis crosses from deep looking for Joao Pedro, but De Ligt steps in and heads the ball behind for a Cagliari corner!21:29

  46. 42'

OVER!!! With Lovato down following a shove from Vlahovic, the Juve striker looks to capitalise and tees up Rabiot. He can't finish though, and blasts the ball over the crossbar!21:29

  47. 41'

Since the beginning of November, Juventus are one of the two teams (alongside Inter) unbeaten away from home in Serie A, with 18 goals scored.21:27

  48. 39'

Danilo looks to find Vlahovic on the turn but Carboni is all over him. It eventually comes out to Pellegrini, who shoots and again hits Rabiot, allowing the home side to clear the danger.21:46

  49. 38'

Dalbert crosses into the box, and after Bellanova tees up Pavoletti, he goes down under pressure from Rabiot! No penalty, says the referee, and Juventus clear their lines!21:26

  50. 37'

Dybala has scored six of his eight goals in the league this season against teams that currently occupy the lower half of the table. The Argentine has scored four goals against Cagliari in his Serie A career, however none came at the Unipol Domus.21:22

  51. 35'

SAVED!!! The low free-kick is half-cleared by Cagliari, but Dybala arrives on the edge of the box to smash a volley straight into the grateful arms of Cragno!21:22

  52. 34'

Rabiot is lucky to win a free-kick after a coming together with Deiola, but the referee awards the kick in his favour and Cuadrado will take it.21:21

  53. 33'

Danilo looks to have a go from distance, but blazes his 35-yard effort high and wide of the target. A waste.21:19

  54. 32'

Dybala's a marked man at the moment and isn't being given any space by the hosts. Deiola is the latest player to foul him, hauling him to ground as he crosses halfway.21:20

  55. 31'

WIDE!!! Only a free-kick is given, and Dybala steps up to fire a dipping, curling effort that looks like it's heading in, but just swerves to the wrong side of the post!21:18

  56. 29'

A 22-man melee ensues after a two footed challenge from Marin sends Danilo flying into the air! The Cagliari midfielder did get the ball, but it was a wild challenge that could warrant further punishment here!21:45

  57. 27'

OVER!!! Juve try a set-piece move from a free-kick 35 yards out, but the pass to Danilo is too heavy and his shot is blocked! It comes back out to Zakaria, but he can only blaze the rebound over the bar and into the night sky!21:13

  58. 25'

Juve's players are still seething with the referee's decision, as it was a borderline handball at best. They've not produced much else aside from that chance though, and will have to find an extra gear if they're to get an equaliser that will stand!21:15

  59. 24'

After a good minute of Juventus celebrations end, the referee goes to the VAR screen, and notices that Pellegrini's shot hit the elbow of Rabiot on its way through. The goal is chalked off and it's as you were, but the Juventus players are incensed!21:15

  60. 23'

BALL IN THE NET!!!! Juve hit back!!! Dybala has a go from distance but his curling effort is beaten away by Cragno. It falls to Pellegrini on the edge of the area, whose venomous shot takes a deflection off Rabiot on its way to the top corner!!! The Old Lady are back in this game!21:44

  61. 22'

Cagliari have conceded 12 goals from outside the box in Serie A this season, only Spezia have shipped more so far in 2021-22. Juventus, however, have not scored from distance since January 9 and have only scored five such goals so far in 2021-22. Three of these five, however, have come from Dybala.21:11

  62. 21'

Dybala is muscled off the ball again in midfield, this time by Deiola, and the Juve players protest to the referee for a free-kick to no avail.21:08

  63. 20'

OVER!!! Zakaria wins the ball well in midfield and finds Danilo. He passes inside to Dybala, who shoots from 20 yards and sees his effort drift over the bar!21:07

  64. 19'

Danilo's low cross from the right is met by a sliding Zakaria, whose close-range shot is stopped and held by Cragno in the Cagliari goal.21:06

  65. 18'

Zakaria is down after being clipped late by Dalbert's boot. It's clearly accidental, but the January signing from Borussia Monchengladbach took a nasty sting there.21:04

  66. 16'

Vlahovic looks to beat Altare and head towards goal, but the pressure of the Cagliari defender takes the power out of his effort and Cragno catches with ease.21:03

  67. 14'

It's getting a bit tasty now, as Chiellini brings down Joao Pedro on the far touchline and concedes a free-kick! The battle between the two Azzurri internationals will be one to keep tabs on, that's for sure.21:01

  68. 13'

Dybala gets goal-side of Altare and goes down under pressure in the box! It looks a certain penalty, but the referee isn't convinced and signals a goal-kick!21:00

  69. 12'

Among the teams he has faced at least 10 times in Serie A, Joao Pedro had only ever scored once against Juventus. He's doubled that tally now, and what a way to do it!20:59

  70. 10'

The work of Marin made that goal, no question. A fantastic challenge to rob Dybala, a confident run forward and a well-timed pass to set up Joao Pedro make his contribution all the more important!20:58

  71. 10'

GOOOOAAAAALLLLLL!!!!! Cagliari strike first!!!! Dybala loses out to Marin in midfield, who drives forward for the hosts. He links up with Joao Pedro, who curls an absolute beauty of a finish beyond Szczesny and into the top corner!!! What a goal and it's 1-0 to the home side!!!

  72. 9'

Juventus have won nine of their last 10 Serie A away games against Cagliari and scored at least three goals five times in this run. Since the 2010/11 season, the Bianconeri are the team against which Cagliari have lost the most league games at home.20:57

  73. 7'

Vlahovic and Lovato get into another tangle, but this time the Juve striker is penalised for bringing down the defender as he looks to latch onto a throughball.20:53

  74. 5'

Vlahovic looks to gain space around the outside, but is forced wide and wins a corner from a Lovato deflection.20:52

  75. 4'

Rabiot feigns shooting before spreading the ball wide to Pellegrini. His right-footed cross evades everyone though, and Cuadrado does well to keep it in play before winning a throw from Dalbert.21:43

  76. 3'

Juventus have won 10 of their last 11 meetings with Cagliari in Serie A, and kept eight clean sheets in these games too.20:50

  77. 2'

Pavoletti clips the heels of Chiellini as the two race for a ball over the top, and the free-kick goes the way of the Juventus captain.20:49

  78. 1'

The visitors kick the game off, and we're underway at the Unipol Domus!20:46

  79. The two sides head onto this pitch, and we’re nearly ready for kick-off in Sardinia!20:39

  80. A 1-0 loss to Inter brought Juve’s 16-game unbeaten run to an end last time out, and Dusan Vlahovic, who has scored four in just eight league appearances since signing from Fiorentina, will be hoping to add to that tally for the Bianconeri in this game.20:40

  81. Top scorer Joao Pedro netted the opener in Cagliari’s 5-1 loss at Udinese last time out, and that was the only goal Gli Isolani have scored in their last four games. The Brazilian-born Italy international will have to be on-song in this game if he’s to breach the division’s third-best defence.20:35

  82. JUVENTUS SUBS: Carlo Pinsoglio, Mattia Perin, Alex Sandro, Moise Kean, Leonardo Bonucci, Federico Bernardeschi, Daniele Rugani, Fabio Miretti.20:28

  86. Juve’s quest to return to the summit of Italian football isn't exactly going as planned this season, with the Old Lady lying in fourth, and nine points away from third-placed Napoli.20:19

  87. The hosts are teetering on the edge of relegation, lying 17th and just three points ahead of Venezia in the bottom three, who also have a game in hand.20:18
