Verona certainly played their part in this fixture, keeping a tight and rigid defence that provided Lukaku and Martinez precious little time and space. The Inter midfield was kept unusually quiet as well, but as the match ticked on, the league leaders let their quality shine through. It’s not a convincing victory, but Conte won’t care as the Nerazzurri inch ever closer to the title, needing just two more wins.
