Milan comfortably brush aside 10-man Venezia with a 3-0 victory. Ibrahimovic started the scoring early, tapping in from a yard out to put the visitors ahead just two minutes in. They pushed to double their lead in the first half, but couldn't find a way through. Just three minutes after the break, Hernandez squeezed a shot in at the near post to make it 2-0. Svoboda then blocked Leao's shot with his arm on the line to get sent off and Hernandez fired in the resulting spot-kick.

Pioli's 400th game in charge in Serie A ends in a victory that takes Milan top of the table, at least until later today when Inter play. That's three wins on the bounce now, and they have Genoa next up in the Coppa Italia. It's back-to-back defeats for Venezia and they stay in 16th. They're also in action in the Coppa Italia, travelling to Atalanta in midweek.

That's all for today, goodbye!

  1. 90'+2'

    FULL-TIME: VENEZIA 0-3 MILAN.14:18

  2. 90'

Venezia have one last chance to push forward for a late goal, with Kiyine brushing aside Bakayoko to break on the counter. He has no one up with him in support though and is eventually crowded off it. 14:17

  3. 88'

Venezia are making their last change as well. Okereke goes off, with Bjarkson on in his place. 14:25

  4. 88'

Final change for Milan now as Florenzi is taken off and replaced by Stanga. 14:14

  5. 87'

There are shouts from the home fans who want a penalty after Johnsen is bundled to ground. It's a great long ball over the top to him, but Hernandez isn't letting up the pressure. The left-back comes away with the ball after nudging Johnsen, but the referee waves play on.14:26

  6. 85'

After another patient spell with the ball, Milan move it quickly out to Giroud on the right. He pulls it back for Maldini on the edge of the box, but his low shot is blocked by Ceccaroni.14:12

  7. 83'

It's a great chance for Venezia to get a late consolation, but they can't take it! Kiyine switches it out to Johnsen on the right, and he's one-on-one with Maignan. He chooses to square it to Okereke instead, and his shot is blocked by Florenzi.14:26

  8. 81'

Still, Milan dominate possession and Venezia just can't get a touch on the ball. It's worked down the right with Florenzi, but he overhits the cross to Giroud and Romero comes out to collect it. 14:07

  9. 79'

Another change for Venezia now and it's Busio that's going off, with Fiordilino coming on for him.14:05

  10. 77'

It's a lovely turn from Rebic to get away from Busio and he leaves the midfielder on the ground with his second flick. The space opens up for him, but Ceccaroni races across to block his shot. 14:03

  11. 75'

Milan are happy to keep possession in their own half at the moment, with Venezia struggling to get close to them. The visitors are in no hurry to get upfield just yet.14:02

  12. 73'

And Diaz is also being taken off, with Maldini on in his place. 14:00

  13. 73'

There's a double change for Milan now. Ibrahimovic is going off for Giroud.14:00

  14. 73'

Johnsen knocks the ball past Tonali, and the midfielder has two attempts at trying to drag him back. His name goes into the book, and that means he'll miss Milan's next match.13:59

  15. 72'

Busio and Johnsen link up well down the left for Venezia before it's switched out to Crnigoj on the right. He cuts inside, and Okereke is asking for it on the penalty spot, but the substitute goes it alone. He curls it down the middle, and Maignan holds onto it. 13:58

  16. 70'

Venezia are the 80th different team against which Ibrahimovic has scored in the top 5 European leagues. Since 2000, he's only the second player to reach this milestone, after Cristiano Ronaldo (on December 30 v Burnley).13:56

  17. 68'

Bakayoko's heavy touch ends up playing in Kiyine and he bursts through midfield to the edge of the box. He hits a low shot across goal, but a deflection off Kalulu helps it wide of the far post.13:55

  18. 66'

Venezia just can't keep hold off the ball at the moment, and they're struggling to get out of their own half. Johnsen tries to break through the middle, but his run is cut off by Tonali.13:53

  19. 64'

Hernandez is going nowhere, and Venezia give away a cheap free-kick when Okereke brings him down. He steps up to the set-piece, curling a dangerous cross into the six-yard box, but Ampadu clears it for the hosts. 13:51

  20. 62'

There's a double for Milan now. Leao, who has just come back from injury, is replaced by Rebic.13:49

  21. 60'

And Aramu is the last to be taken off, with Johnsen on for him.13:52

  22. 60'

Henry is also going off, with Crnigoj on to replace him.13:52

  23. 60'

There's a triple change for Venezia following the third Milan goal. Cuisance is the first to make way, with Kiyine on in his place. 13:47

  24. 59'

HERNANDEZ SCORES! The captain steps up to take the spot-kick, and it's a wonderful penalty from him. He sends Romero the wrong way, but the keeper would've had no chance anyway as Hernandez fires it into the top right corner. 3-0 Milan!

  25. 58'

VENEZIA DOWN TO 10! It's gone from bad to worse for the hosts! The referee had a perfect view of the whole thing, and he's called Svoboda across to show him a straight red card for the handball which denied the goalscoring opportunity.13:45

  26. 57'

PENALTY TO MILAN! It's initially a great save from Romero as he smothers Ibrahimovic's effort from a tight angle, and his follow-up is blocked by Svoboda. Leao gets a chance on the rebound, and this time, the defender uses his arm to block the shot on the line and the referee points straight to the spot.13:45

  27. 56'

Tonali is away from Ceccaroni and the defender desperately drags him back by his shirt to stop the break. He's booked for the challenge.13:43

  28. 54'

CLOSE! Ibrahimovic has drifted out to the right, and he chips a lovely cross over Haps to pick out Messias at the near post. He glances it on but doesn't get his angles right as he sends it wide of the near post.13:42

  29. 52'

It's a dangerous corner for Venezia as it's whipped into the overcrowded six-yard box. There's a bit of a scramble and Henry eventually manages to poke it towards goal, but Ibrahimovic is on the post to hook it clear. 13:39

  30. 50'

There's a pause in play here as VAR checks a possible penalty for Venezia. There were claims of handball against Kalulu but the replays show it struck him on the side and the initial decision of a corner stands.13:37

  31. 48'

Leao gets his head up quickly to spot Hernandez's run and slides it through to him for his second assist of the match.13:36

  32. 48'

HERNANDEZ SCORES! Just like in the first half, Milan have got another quick goal! It's a good throughball from Leao to pick out Hernandez's overlapping run and the left-back does brilliantly to hold off Mazzocchi. He holds his ground before firing past Romero at the near post to double the lead. 2-0 Milan!

Venezia get us back underway for the second half!13:32

  34. 46'

There's a change for Milan at the break. Saelemaekers, who is on a booking, is taken off and replaced by Messias.13:32

  35. Pioli will be pleased with his side's performance so far and they looked in control throughout the first half. He'll be hoping they can take more of their chances to see out the win in the second half. Venezia had some bright moments, but struggled to test Maignan and Zanetti will be urging them to take more risks if they want to get back into this one. 13:29

  36. Ibrahimovic's early goal gives Milan a 1-0 lead over Venezia at half-time. The visitors got off to the best possible start as Ibrahimovic tapped in Leao's cross from just a yard out in the second minute to break the deadlock. Leao, Hernandez, Kalulu and Florenzi have also forced Romero into some good saves. As for Venezia, they haven't created too much of note, with Henry's header straight at Maignan their only shot on target.13:23

  37. 45'+2'

    HALF-TIME: VENEZIA 0-1 MILAN. 13:16

  38. 45'

Milan break quickly again, and this time, it's played out to Florenzi on the right. He breezes past Haps and chooses to go for goal instead of squaring in Ibrahimovic. It's a poor attempt though and he slices it well wide of the near post. 13:15

  39. 43'

It's a poor corner for Milan as the cross is cleared at the near post, and Venezia have the chance to break on the counter. Ampadu plays it forward for Okereke to chase, but there's too much on it and Gabbia easily wins it back.13:14

  40. 41'

Florenzi flicks it onto Saelemakers, who breaks through the middle for Milan, and he has four up with him in support. He switches it out to Leao on the left, and he cuts inside, taking it around Mazzocchi before drilling his shot straight at Romero.13:13

  41. 39'

It's better from Venezia now as Ampadu nicks the ball off Tonali before driving into the space down the right. He curls a good cross into the near post, where Henry glances it on, but his header loops onto the roof of the net. 13:09

  42. 37'

Gabbia gets out to Okereke on the left and pushes the forward off the ball before clipping the back of his heels. It's a clumsy tackle, and he's shown a yellow card. 13:07

  43. 36'

It's a lovely bit of control by Saelemaekers as he brings it down under pressure from Ceccaroni. He lays it off to Bakayoko on the edge of the box, but his curling effort is blocked by Cuisance. 13:07

  44. 34'

Busio steps in to nick the ball off Diaz but then sells Svoboda short with a backpass. Ibrahimovic is closing him down, but the defender keeps a cool head to take it around him before clearing his lines. 13:04

  45. 32'

Milan have a free-kick after Busio slides in on Saelemaekers, but they have a problem here as Bakayoko is down. It looks like he's holding his knee after being caught by Busio's first challenge, but he's okay to carry on after treatment. 13:05

  46. 30'

The hosts are still pushing to try and get back into this game, but they can't string enough passes together in the final third. Haps touches it onto Aramu, but his pullback to Henry is hooked away by Kalulu.13:01

  47. 28'

SAVE! Venezia just can't clear their lines following the corner and Florenzi picks the ball up just outside the box. He has time to take a touch before he hits the shot, but Romero is equal to it as he pushes it over the bar. 13:00

  48. 27'

GOOD SAVE! There's a 50-50 challenge between Florenzi and Cuisance, with both players getting the ball, but the referee awards a free-kick to Milan, much to the hosts' frustration. Saelemaekers touches it to Hernandez, who drills a shot on goal and Romero tips it over. 12:58

  49. 25'

It's a sloppy pass from Tonali in midfield and Okereke latches onto it before driving down the right. Three Milan players crowd around him, but he brushes them all off. After all of that, a heavy touch lets him down, and he knocks it straight to Maignan. 12:57

  50. 23'

Venezia are starting to frustrate Milan with their high press, and the visitors just can't get out of their own half. In the end, Busio gets too tight to Bakayoko, and he gives away a free-kick.12:55

  51. 21'

Milan switch it from left to right to try and open up Venezia's compact shape and Florenzi tries to slip it through to Saelemaekers ahead of him. It's just out of his reach though, and he can only help it out for a goal-kick with his touch. 12:51

  52. 19'

Haps curls a cross into the box from the left and it's cut out by Gabbia just ahead of Henry. The defender slices at his clearance and is lucky that Kalulu is behind him to hook it away from Okereke, who was following it in.12:50

  53. 17'

Ibrahimovic clumsily brings down Svoboda as he tries to get in on goal and Venezia win a free-kick. Romero sweeps it out to Haps, who tries to catch Milan out by going long for Aramu, but his throughball rolls straight out of play.12:48

  54. 15'

Milan patiently work it down their right, from Florenzi to Saelemaekers, who then threads it through for Ibrahimovic. He uses his strength to hold off Cuisance, but his cross is too deep and it sails over everyone in the middle. 12:46

  55. 13'

Milan have won all seven of their Serie A away games this season in which they've scored the opening goal.12:45

  56. 11'

Venezia work it well down their right side and Okereke slides it through to Aramu just outside the box. He ends up dragging at his shot though and it rolls harmlessly wide of the near post. 12:42

  57. 9'

There's another corner for Milan, and this time, it's lifted into Hernandez on the edge of the D. He hits it on the volley as it drops in front of him, but he ends up firing it high over the bar and into the stands. 12:39

  58. 7'

SAVE! Diaz dribbles through the crowd on Venezia players on the edge of the box before laying it off to Leao on the left of the area. He manages to find a pocket of space and drills a low shot on goal, but Romero gets down to push it away.12:37

  59. 5'

Saelemaekers had his eyes on the ball, so he didn't see Busio coming. He ends up catching Busio in the stomach with a high boot and he's shown an early yellow card.12:37

  60. 4'

Milan are keeping possession well in their own half at the moment and are trying to draw Venezia out of their shape. Gabbia eventually goes long towards Saelemaekers, but it's cut out by Ampadu.12:36

  61. 2'

It's a great run by Leao, and Mazzocchi just can't get close to him. He takes it to the byline and plays a dangerous cross in for Ibrahimovic.12:34

  62. 2'

IBRAHIMOVIC SCORES! It's a great move from Milan with Hernandez sliding it down the left for Leao. Okereke misses the block and the winger drives to the byline before fizzing it in for Ibrahimovic. The keeper and Svoboda both miss it and Ibrahimovic is left with a simple tap-in from a yard out. 1-0 Milan!
