Juventus bounce back from their midweek Champions League disappointment, with a 3-1 win over Cagliari in Serie A, thanks to a first-half Ronaldo hat-trick. Cagliari pushed forward after the break and managed to pull a goal back on 61 minutes through Simeone, however, it wasn’t enough to spark a comeback and Juve saw the game out, clinching all three points.

This win leaves Juventus third and 10 points behind Inter at the top, but only one behind Milan in second and next up for Andrea Pirlo’s side is Benevento next weekend. Meanwhile Cagliari remain just outside the relegation zone and they face Spezia next time out.

That's all from us today folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!

  14. 77'

There's not long left to play here now, under 15 minutes, can Cagliari get another one to make it a nervy finish for Juventus?19:57

  15. 75'

  16. 74'

Nainggolan launches an ambitious effort towards goal from the edge of the penalty area. However, his effort is way off target and goes well wide.19:34

  21. 69'

Here come the first Cagliari substitutions of the game, the first of which sees Zappa replaced by Asamoah.19:29

  22. 68'

Cagliari are unbeaten in their last three games in Serie A (W2 D1): the last time they went at least four consecutive Serie A games without defeat was back in December 2019 (13 in that case).19:27

  23. 66'

NO PENALTY! It was just inside the penalty area, but the replays show that there wasn't any contact by Rabiot on Joao Pedro, so nothing is given.19:26

  24. 65'

PENALTY CHECK! Joao Pedro just flicks the ball past Rabiot on the very edge of the penalty area and then goes down claiming a touch. However, the referee on the field didn't give anything as there doesn't appear to be much, if any contact. VAR are going to take a look.19:25

  25. 63'

CLOSE! Ronaldo takes a quick corner and the ball then finds its way back to him on the edge of the box and he tries to curl it into the top right-hand corner of the net. However, he gets slightly too much on it and it flies just wide.19:23

  26. 61'

Zappa evaded the Juventus defenders and was allowed time to pick out Simeone in the box, who punished the visitors and pulled one back for his side.19:22

  27. 61'

GOAL! Cagliari pull one back and make it 3-1! Simeone with the strike on 61 minutes to fire the hosts back into the game. Zappa did really well down the right wing, getting to the byline and he then whipped it into the six-yard and found an unmarked Simeone, who poked it into the back of the net.

  28. 59'

Juventus look content with their lead at the moment, they aren't pushing too hard for a fourth goal and seem comfortable. Still no changes by the hosts.19:20

  29. 57'

CHANCE! Szczesny with another superb stop to keep his clean sheet and deny Cagliari! This time it is Marin with the attempt, as he powers a terrific strike towards goal from around 25 yards out and Szczesny has to be alert to tip it over the crossbar.19:51

  30. 56'

SAVE! Szczesny is called into action for the first time in the Juve goal, as Duncan whips an effort towards goal and it flies towards the bottom left-hand corner of the net. However, Szczesny gets across quickly and tips it around the post.19:51

  31. 54'

Juventus have only conceded 10 goals in the second half in the current league season, however six of the last 10 goals conceded by the Bianconeri in Serie A have come in the second half.19:13

  32. 52'

Blocked! Nainggolan finds a little bit of time and space on the edge of the box and goes for goal, but his low effort is well blocked by De Ligt and Juve clear the danger.19:12

  33. 50'

Penalty shout! Cagliari are appealing for a penalty after Cuadrado heads a ball down and it strikes his arm. However, nothing is given by the referee and he waves away the protests by the Cagliari players.19:50

  34. 48'

The hosts have started the second half with a good high press on Juve, trying to win the ball back early on. Surprisingly they didn't make any changes at the break.19:07

  35. 46'

The second half is under way!19:04

  36. Cagliari have been poor defensively, looking vulnerable on the counter and Juventus have punished them and deserve their three-goal lead. It will be very difficult for the hosts to get anything out of this game now.18:52

  37. A Ronaldo hat-trick sees Juventus lead 3-0 at the break, the first coming after just 10 minutes as he powered Cuadrado’s corner into the back of the net, before getting his second from the penalty spot and a third came just after the half an hour mark. The visitors have been rampant on the counter-attack and could have scored a few more, with Morata and Kulusevski also having chances in front of goal.18:51

  38. 45'+4'

    HALF-TIME: CAGLIARI 0-3 JUVENTUS18:49

  39. 45'+2'

Cuadrado just needs to be careful as he is already on a yellow card and just produced a poor challenge on Nandez midway into the Juve half of the pitch.18:49

  40. 45'

There will be a minimum of four minutes added time played at the end of the first half.18:46

  41. 44'

There have been countless times when Cagliari have been caught out at the back and Juventus have the man advantage on the counter. Despite being 3-0 down, they haven't tightened up their defence.18:45

  42. 42'

Juventus have dropped the pace of their game in the last few minutes, just comfortably seeing it out until the break with their three-goal advantage. Cagliari are going to have to produce something very special in order to get anything out of this game now.18:43

  43. 40'

There’s not long left to play before the end of the first half, can Cagliari pull one back before the half-time whistle, or will Juve make it four?18:40

  44. 38'

CHANCE! Another Juve counter-attack, but this time it is Ronaldo providing the ball through to Morata for the opportunity at goal. The striker races into the box and should only have Cragno to beat, but his touch onto his right foot is too heavy and it allows the Cagliari defence time to recover and clear the danger.18:39

  45. 36'

Almost! Ronaldo once again finds space in behind the Cagliari defence and has an opportunity at goal. However, this time the ball through to him is slightly too heavy and it allows Cragno to race off his line and clear the danger.18:54

  46. 34'

The visitors have made an early substitution, with Sandro the man coming off and he has been replaced by Bernardeschi.18:35

  47. 32'

Chiesa has been in fine form down the left wing so far for Juve and this time the winger opened up the space for Ronaldo, switching the play quickly and his teammate did the rest with an excellent finish.18:35

  48. 32'

GOAL! That’s the hat-trick for Ronaldo and he makes it 3-0 to Juventus! It comes from a quick counter as the visitors catch Cagliari out at the back and the ball finds it way to Ronaldo out to the left from Chiesa, he cuts inside and beats his marker, before blasting the ball into the top left-hand corner of the net. Superb finish.

We’re past the half an hour mark now and it remains Juventus who lead 2-0 over Cagliari, thanks to a brace from Ronaldo.18:31

  50. 29'

Good defending! A lovely cross is whipped into the Juve penalty area from the left wing and Simeone tries to meet it at the back post, but Chiellini gets their first and sends it behind.18:29

  51. 27'

Cagliari won 2-0 in their last home Serie A home match against Juventus: only between 1965 and 1966 have the Sardinians achieved consecutive home wins against the Bianconeri in the competition.18:27

  52. 25'

GOAL! Juventus double their lead as Ronaldo makes it 2-0 from the penalty spot! Ronaldo won the penalty after being taken down by Cragno and he converted it as well, powering the ball into the back of the net and that is his second goal of the game.

  54. 22'

CHANCE! Morata with a great opportunity to make it 2-0! Ronaldo flicked the ball in behind for Chiesa to run onto and he sprints through and then plays a lovely pass through to Morata and he only had Cragno to beat, but the striker doesn't get the best contact on it and the keeper makes a great save.18:23

  55. 20'

This is better from Cagliari, they are keeping the ball more in the middle of the pitch and are forcing Juve to get players back behind the ball and defend.18:21

  56. 18'

Another Juventus yellow card now, this time it is shown to Cuadrado, for his challenge on Joao Pedro.18:20

  57. 16'

Cragno is still down on the pitch and is receiving some medical treatment following his collision with Ronaldo, as the Juve man caught the keeper with a high foot and it looked like a painful one.18:16

  58. 14'

Chiesa whips a terrific ball into the box from the left wing and Ronaldo flies in, trying to flick it towards goal. However, Cragno just gets to the ball first and clears the danger, taking a heavy blow in the process, causing Ronaldo to be shown a yellow card.18:15

  59. 12'

  61. 10'

GOAL! Ronaldo fires Juventus into the lead, it’s 1-0 after 10 minutes! Cuadrado whips a lovely corner delivery into the box and Ronaldo rises high above the Cagliari defenders and powers the ball into the back of the net, out of the reach of Cragno. Poor defending by the hosts, who just didn't get tight enough to the Juve man and he punished them.

Cagliari look dangerous on the counter-attack here, moving the ball quickly into the final third. They are just yet to test Szczesny in the Juve goal.18:10

  63. 7'

Juventus are struggling to find their groove at the moment, there have been a few sloppy passes and Cagliari are starting to see more and more of the ball.18:08

  64. 5'

As you might expect, it is Juventus with the majority of the possession so far, however, the hosts are pressing high up the pitch and aren't allowing them much time or space on the ball to try and carve open an opportunity.18:05

  65. 3'

Blocked! Cagliari lose the ball deep inside their own half and Juventus counter, with Ronaldo laying it out wide to Kulusevski, who should try and pick out a teammate in the box, but instead he goes for goal and his effort is well blocked.18:03
