Hello and welcome to our live coverage of this midweek Serie A fixture! Champions Juventus are looking to keep their slim hopes of defending their crown alive as they host second-bottom Parma at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.20:03

The Super League appears to be dead in the water so after a dramatic couple of days, it’ll be nice to get back to some actual football. That competition may be slipping through Andrea Agnelli’s fingers and it looks as though the Italian title is too; with seven games to play, Juve are fourth, 13 points behind leaders Inter.20:05

JUVENTUS (4-4-2): Gianluigi Buffon; Alex Sandro, Leonardo Bonucci, Matthijs de Ligt, Danilo; Weston McKennie, Arthur, Rodrigo Bentancur, Juan Cuadrado; Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala.20:10

SUBS: Federico Bernardeschi, Alvaro Morata, Aaron Ramsey, Wojciech Szczesny, Felix Correia, Giorgio Chiellini, Adrien Rabiot, Carlo Pinsoglio, Gianluca Frabotta, Dejan Kulusevski.20:20

PARMA (4-3-3): Simone Colombi; Giuseppe Pezzella, Mattia Bani, Yordan Osorio, Vincent Laurini; Jasmin Kurtic, Gaston Brugman, Alberto Grassi; Gervinho, Graziano Pelle, Dennis Man.20:24

SUBS: Hernani, Luigi Sepe, Filippo Rinaldi, Valentin Mihaila, Juan Brunetta, Drissa Camara, Chaka Traore, Simon Sohm, Andreas Cornelius, Yann Karamoh, Maxime Busi, Daan Dierckx.20:28

Juventus were beaten 1-0 at Atalanta in their last game and Andrea Pirlo rings the changes - four of them. Buffon, Bonucci, Arthur and Ronaldo come in for Szczesny, Chiellini, Chiesa and Morata.20:32

Parma conceded twice in stoppage time in their last game, handing a 4-3 win to Cagliari. Roberto D'Aversa makes three changes, two of which come in attack as Gervinho and Pelle come into the XI. Colombi replaces Sepe in goal.20:33

Juventus have won their last three Serie A games against Parma, but they’ve never managed four in a row. They’ve also scored in all of their last 25 home games against today’s opponents in the league.20:37

The teams are on their way out onto the pitch. Kick-off is just a few moments away.20:42

We're off!20:46

2'

A slightly odd quirk of Juve's form in 2021 so far - they haven't drawn a home league match since playing Atalanta here back in December. Since then, they've played 11, won nine and lost two on home soil.Juventus haven’t drawn a home Serie A match since December against Atalanta (P11 W9 L2 since then).20:48

3'

Parma win the first corner of the night. Brugman curls it in from the left but De Ligt gets a strong head to it on the penalty spot and the hosts clear their lines.20:49

5'

Arthur does well to hold off a challenge from Pelle as he dribbles from left to right along the halfway line. Quite the size difference between those two.20:50

7'

Parma are, as you would expect, keeping plenty of men behind the ball when they don't have it. Ronaldo receives a ball to feet 30 yards out and whips out some quick stepovers, but opts against trying to find a way through the massed ranks of blue shirts and recycles possession back into midfield.20:53

8'

Sandro flies forward down the left and Colombi dives to his left to tip away his low cross with an outstretched hand. Cuadrado lifts the ball back in from the right and Colombi tips it around the post for a corner, though it might have been dropping wide anyway.20:54

9'

Good chance for Ronaldo! A corner on the left is taken short to Dybala, who pulls back a low pass from the byline. He picks out Ronaldo in a central position some eight yards out and he reacts quickly to side-foot it goalwards, but Colombi reacts well to make a good low save down to his right.20:56

11'

Gervinho drives at the defence for the first time down the left, before laying the ball on to Pezzella on the overlap. His low cross is blocked behind by Danilo and Parma want a penalty. It does look to have hit his arm but there's no way he could have gotten it out of the way at such close range.20:57

12'

Pelle meets a Brugman corner from the left and tries to flick a header in at the far post, but he doesn't quite connect well enough and it drops just wide.20:57

13'

Arthur fires a pass in to Ronaldo's feet, his back to goal at the edge of the area. He tries a first-time flick out to Sandro on the left, but there's too much on Arthur's pass and it balloons up off his boot.20:59

15'

Parma counter after winning the ball in midfield, Gervinho carrying it through the middle before again spreading the play to Pezzella on the overlap. It looks a good opportunity but the left-back gets his cross all wrong, overhitting it straight behind for a goal kick.21:01

16'

With European qualification not secured and relegation not confirmed, both teams have plenty to play for tonight and the game is being played at a lively pace. Ronaldo will no doubt feel he should have opened the scoring with his early chance, but it looks as though he'll get more opportunities as we go.21:02

18'

Gervinho knocks Cuadrado over just outside the Juventus box and the Colombian looks in some pain as he goes down, but he's back on his feet quickly enough.21:05

20'

Strangely enough, Juventus have only had 39 per cent of possession in the first 20 minutes. Parma have kept hold of the ball nicely.21:06

21'

Gervinho ghosts away from Cuadrado off the ball but Pezzella mis-kicks his pass as he looks to thread him through and it's cut out.21:09

23'

McKennie gets the first yellow card of the evening, after sliding through the back of Gervinho just outside the box. He might actually have gotten his foot to the ball first but on first viewing, it did look like a foul.21:11

25'

GOOOALLL! 1-0 PARMA, A BEAUTY FROM BRUGMAN! McKennie took Gervinho down just outside the area and it was a great position for the free-kick, just outside the D and over to the left. Brugman takes a long run-up, skipping on his toes as he approaches the ball and side-foots it calmly inside the near post. Buffon doesn't even move. Lovely hit.

See Gastón Brugman's player card21:12

27'

Bad news for Parma: They have lost 17 points from winning situations in 2021 so far, at least four more than any other side in the 'big five' European leagues in the same time period.21:12

28'

Cuadrado thumps in a dangerous-looking corner towards the near post from the right. Someone in black and white hurls themself at the ball but can't make a connection, and the corner eventually goes all the way through the crowd.21:14

29'

Bentancur almost gets Buffon into trouble with a firmly-struck pass back to him from the edge of the box. Pelle charges him down but the veteran goalkeeper just manages to hook it clear before the big forward bundles into him.21:15

31'

Juventus have upped their share of possession in the last 10 minutes but aren't looking all that threatening on the ball. Parma are defending resolutely and breaking at speed when they win it back.21:17

32'

Brugman delivers a corner in towards Bani at the near side of the six-yard box from the left, but the whistle goes for a foul on Buffon.21:18

33'

McKennie looks to have gotten around Laurini to the left of the penalty area but he can't quite stretch his leg around the ball to whip in a cross, and his delivery skims straight into the side-netting.21:21

35'

Brugman is called back for pulling Arthur's shirt just outside the Parma area. This is a good position for a shot, slightly to the right of centre on the line of the D.21:23

36'

Dybala steps up to take the resulting free-kick but it clips the top of the wall and flies over for a corner. 21:22

37'

Sandro crosses for Bonucci after a corner but the defender puts his header just wide to the left.21:23

39'

Man tries to lead a counter-attack down the right after a spell of Juventus possession, but he checks infield and can't pick out a team-mate in support.21:25

41'

McKennie flicks a ball on to Ronaldo, looking to combine with a one-two down the left, but he gives his team-mate a lot to do and Ronaldo can't direct his flick around the corner for the American to latch onto.21:29

43'

GOOOALLL! 1-1, SANDRO WITH A BELTER! De Ligt heads down a corner to the edge of the area, where Sandro latches onto it. He takes one touch before smashing it into the top-left corner on the half-volley. Brilliant finish.

See Alex Sandro's player card21:29

43'

An assist for De Ligt, showing good awareness to nod the ball down to the man in space at the edge of the area.21:30

45'

Juventus have now scored at least once in 26 consecutive home league games against Parma. That's quite a run.21:30

45'

HALF-TIME: JUVENTUS 1-1 PARMA21:31

A good game so far, with two good goals. Parma have performed pretty well here in Turin despite their lowly league position, and took the lead midway through the half when Brugman stepped up to side-foot a fine free-kick into the bottom-left corner from the edge of the area. Ronaldo saw a good early chance well savedby Colombi and it looked as though the visitors were going to hold out until the break, only for Sandro to hammer home a brilliant equaliser on the half-volley just a few moments ago.21:34

Juventus haven't been at their best so far. If they can find another gear, you'd make them favourites but, while they've been generally on top since the first goal went in, they haven't created any huge chances since then.21:35

45'

We're back underway.21:50

47'

GOOOALLL! 2-1 JUVE, SANDRO AGAIN! Ronaldo plays in Cuadrado at the right corner of the area and he looks to pick out Dybala in the centre. He can't quite get up to meet it but nobody tracks Sandro at the far post, and he directs a free header past Colombi.

See Alex Sandro's player card21:50

47'

Cuadrado gets the assist for a measured cross.21:50

49'

Sandro has now scored more goals tonight than his combined total for all of last season and this season so far. His last goal came against Sassuolo in July, shortly after Serie A returned from lockdown.21:52

51'

Juve look to have a decent opportunity with a few players forward. Ronaldo draws out a defender with some stepovers at the edge of the area but his pass out to Cuadrado on the right is overhit and he has to go backwards to keep possession for the hosts.21:54

53'

Bentancur crosses from the right and Ronaldo winds up an overhead kick, but Osorio gets ahead of him to nod clear before he can connect with his shot.21:56

54'

Ronaldo fouls Grassi as he tries to win a bouncing ball in the Parma penalty area.21:56

56'

Parma are looking stretched now. Cuadrado gets the ball on the right and drives into the area, looking to find Ronaldo with a square pass. Bani just gets across in time to thump it clear. That surely would have been 3-1.21:58

57'

Bonucci is down receiving some treatment. It looked as though he took a whack in the face from Pelle as the pair contested a loose ball.21:59

59'

Parma were dangerous on the counter-attack in the first half but they haven't really threatened so far since the break. They put together their first real attack of the half down the left and Grassi gets a good chance as De Ligt mis-hits a clearance, but he can't react quickly to get a shot on target and it spins well wide.22:02

61'

Bonucci has taken another whack in the face from Pelle, this time an elbow as he went up for a header. He isn't happy, but there's no card for the forward.22:03

61'

Parma make two changes in attack. First, Cornelius replaces Pelle.04:21

62'

And now Mihaila comes on for Gervinho.22:04

64'

Off the line! Parma have barely threatened in the second half but they almost pull themselves level from a corner. Osorio meets Brugman's delivery from the left with a powerful header but Arthur is there on the near post to clear with a diving header.22:06

66'

The game is opening up now. Cuadrado gets into the area from the right, chopping inside before going back out onto his right and looking to drill a low ball across the face of goal, but it's cleared away.22:09

67'

It didn't accomplish much but Sandro just pulled off a delightful piece of skill. Retreating towards the byline in his left-back position, the ball was running out for a goal kick but he knocked it back to a team-mate with a flicked backheel. Very smooth.22:10

68'

GOOOALLL! 3-1 JUVE, DE LIGT! That might just be game over, and De Ligt now has a goal to go with his assist. It's a simple goal. Cuadrado delivers an inswinging corner from the left, and De Ligt powers a thumping header inside the far post from six yards out. Simple but very satisfying to watch.

See Matthijs De Ligt's player card22:12

68'

Cuadrado gets a second assist, this time for a pinpoint delivery from the corner.22:12

71'

Almost! The livewire Cuadrado beats his man in the area and powers a cross-shot towards goal from the right. Colombi just gets a fingertip to it and it's enough to take the ball away from Ronaldo, who was arriving on the scene for a tap-in - though he might have been slightly offside anyway.22:13

71'

A third change for Parma, with Hernani coming on for the goalscorer Brugman.22:14

72'

Into the last 20 minutes now. Juve's forwards look like they're starting to enjoy themselves but they might not have long left, with a gaggle of substitutes being readied on the touchline.22:16

74'

Three changes, the first in midfield. Rabiot replaces Bentancur.22:16

74'

McKennie is off too, with Ramsey coming on.22:16

74'

Cuadrado has been in good form tonight and he'll finish with two assists to his name. He makes way for Kulusevski.22:17

76'

Dybala spins and slips in Kulusevski at the right side of the area and he drives infield for the first time, but he can't thread his pass through a crowded penalty area and Grassi is able to clear.22:19

78'

This looks to be near enough over as a contest now. Juventus are managing possession well and Parma have hardly threatened in the second half other than Osorio's header off the line from a corner.22:21

79'

Good save Colombi! Juve pick their way through the midfield block and Kulusevski tees up Dybala at the edge of the area. He looks to power a right-footed effort across the keeper but he makes a sharp save, low down with his right foot.22:23

81'

More changes for Parma. Busi replaces Pezzella.22:23

81'

And now Karamoh comes on for Man.22:23

82'

Karamoh almost scores with his first touch! He's barely been on the pitch for 30 seconds when Kurtic picks him out with a right-footed cross from over by the left touchline. He meets it at the edge of the six-yard box but puts his header straight at Buffon, who tips it over the bar. Either side and that was surely 3-2.22:26

84'

Another Juve change. Dybala off, Morata on.22:26

86'

Morata has scored three goals against Parma in Serie A, more than against any other opponent. In the reverse fixture earlier this season, he bagged a goal and two assists. Will he get a chance in these last five minutes?22:28

86'

A fifth and final change for Juventus. Bernardeschi comes on for the last couple of minutes, replacing Arthur.04:21

88'

Hernani is booked for a shove on Kulusevski in the Juventus half.22:30

89'

Ronaldo doesn't want to finish without a goal! He gets the ball from Ramsey 25 yards out and tees himself up for a shot just outside the D, but he lashes a wild effort high and wide to the right.22:31

90'

Cornelius makes a run in behind and Busi picks him out with a delicious cross-field pass, but Bonucci recovers well to get back and force the striker to rush his finish. He slices it over the bar.22:33

90'+1'

Four minutes added on.22:33

90'+2'

Karamoh is booked for a late tackle.22:36

90'+3'

Parma are still plugging away gamely, but it would take one heck of a late show to pull this back now. 22:36

90'+3'

Ronaldo looks to have been booked, possibly for having a word with the ref.22:36

90'+5'

FULL-TIME: JUVENTUS 3-1 PARMA22:37

Juventus win! Parma started well and were pretty good value for their lead when Brugman clipped home a delightful free-kick midway through the first half, but they were pegged back on the brink of half-time when Sandro smashed home a half-volley from the edge of the area at a corner. He doubled his tally for the night and for the season just minutes into the second half when he ghosted in at the back post to nod home a Cuadrado cross. Cuadrado was a menace throughout the game and added a second assist 20 minutes later as his corner was powered home by De Ligt, who had earlier teed up Sandro for Juve's first.22:37

A good night for Juve. Not only have they won, but AC Milan lost earlier and Inter are drawing right now, so the gap at the top could close. For now, they're above Atalanta into third, with the Bergamo side playing tomorrow. Parma remain 19th, and in big trouble.22:37

That's it from me here tonight. Until the next time, ciao!22:37
