JUVENTUS ARE SERIE A CHAMPIONS! The victory sees Juve win the title for the ninth successive season, with two games left to spare. Ronaldo, who also missed a late penalty, opened the scoring with a wonderful goal in first-half stoppage time, before Bernardeschi bundled in a rebound midway through the second half. It's a first top-flight title for Sarri.

An enthralling title race is now settled, with Juve seven points clear of second-placed Inter, who are involved in a three-way tussle with Atalanta and Lazio for which sides finish between second and fourth. Juve's squad are all out on the pitch, celebrating what has been a hard-fought triumph.

That’s all for now. Goodbye!

  1. 90'+4'

    FULL TIME: JUVENTUS 2-0 SAMPDORIA.23:43

  2. 90'+2'

How has that not gone in?! Somehow, Yoshida has just made an outstanding goal-line clearance to deny Higuain. It will matter little in the grand scheme of things, but that was an excellent piece of defending.23:43

  3. 90'+1'

Another change for Samp. Maroni is on in place of Ramirez.23:41

  4. 89'

MISSED! Ronaldo takes the spot-kick, but strikes the centre of the crossbar and it remains 2-0!23:41

  5. 88'

Depaoli gets a booking for his challenge.23:39

  6. 88'

PENALTY TO JUVE! Alex Sandro races down the left, drawing a rash challenge from Depaoli, and the referee points straight to the spot.23:39

  7. 87'

Gabbiadini is picked out in the Juve area, but he is back pedalling to reach it and can only divert his header wide.23:36

  8. 86'

Rabiot has been given a booking for charging into Linetty and then kicking the ball away in frustration.23:36

  9. 85'

Rabiot gets Cuadrado away on the counter, but the winger loses out just as he approaches the final third. Ronaldo applies some pressure to Audero, but Samp play it out from the back calmly.23:35

  10. 82'

Samp’s appeals for a penalty for handball fall on deaf ears and, within seconds, Juve are up at the other end, with Ronaldo playing a one-two with Higuain. The latter looks all set to put the hosts 3-0 up, but instead skews his effort wide.23:32

  11. 80'

Cuadrado becomes the latest player to pick up a booking, after he dived in on Leris as this match becomes increasingly scrappy.23:31

  12. 78'

Bentancur has also been introduced by Sarri, as a replacement for Pjanic.23:28

  13. 78'

De Ligt seemed to sustain an injury while making that block a few moments ago, and he has now been replaced by Rugani.23:28

  14. 77'

RED CARD! Matters are made worse for Samp, as Thorsby receives a second booking after he lunged in on Pjanic. A hefty touch took the ball away from him, and as soon as he made the challenge, the midfielder knew his game was over.23:27

  15. 74'

Block! A great bit of defending from De Ligt, who lunges across to prevent Quagliarella’s close-range shot reaching the target.23:26

  16. 73'

Gabbiadini has come on for the visitors, replacing Jankto.23:26

  17. 71'

Nearly! Out of the blue, Samp almost had one back, but Szczesny has pulled off a superb stop to keep out Quagliarella’s header.23:21

  18. 69'

    Berndeschi has received a booking.23:19

  19. 69'

Surely, Juve cannot throw this one away now? It has been a fascinating title race but it looks like it’s going to be coming to an end today.23:19

  20. 67'

GOOOOAALLLL!!! BERNARDESCHI MAKES IT 2-0! Juve are one step closer now, as – after Audero could only parry out Ronaldo’s effort – Bernardeschi slams home on the rebound.

  21. 65'

Jankto goes into the book for a foul on Cuadrado.23:17

  22. 64'

Juve have dropped 18 points from leading situations in this Serie A season, eight of which have come in their last five games.23:14

  23. 61'

SAVE! Another fine stop from Audero, who closes the angle and reacts sharply to deny Ronaldo from close range. Higuain is furious, however, as he was in space at the back post.23:11

  24. 59'

Ronaldo isolates Yoshida one-on-one inside Samp’s area, but the Japan international stands his ground and prevents the cross.23:10

  25. 57'

Ramirez has a free header, but can only direct a looping effort straight at Szczesny in the middle of the Juve goal.23:07

  26. 55'

CLOSE! Tonelli finds space to meet the resulting corner, only to send his header flashing wide of the right-hand post.23:04

  27. 54'

Another opportunity for Samp! Ramirez’s free-kick is flicked on by Yoshida, whose header is tipped wide by Szczesny. Juve are suddenly under a bit of pressure here.23:03

  28. 52'

CHANCE! Jantko’s cross from the left finds Leris, but he can’t direct his first-time effort inside the post.23:02

  29. 51'

The cross is aimed for Ronaldo, but he can’t get on the end of it.23:02

  30. 50'

Jankto bundles into Ronaldo from behind, handing Juve a free-kick which Pjanic stands over...22:59

  31. 48'

With his goal, Ronaldo has now netted 31 times in the league this season. Only Felice Borel (32) has scored more for Juve in a single Serie A campaign.22:57

  32. 46'

KICK-OFF! Juve get the second half underway.22:56

  33. If Samp want anything from this match now, they will have to come out and attack, which will of course leave plenty of gaps for Juve to exploit. Given their experience against Udinese, Juve will surely be wanting to get this win – and the Scudetto – wrapped up early in the half.22:41

  34. Juve’s biggest star has come up with a huge goal right on the stroke of half-time, to put Sarri’s side ahead heading into the break. Samp had frustrated their hosts, but one moment of real quality has put Juve in front, and now they’re just 45 minutes away from retaining the title.22:40

  35. 45'+7'

That was a brilliantly worked goal from Juve, with set-piece specialist Pjanic catching Samp’s defence cold and Ronaldo supplying an excellent finish.22:38

  36. 45'+7'

GOOOOOAAALLLLL!!! JUVE TAKE THE LEAD! Right on the stroke of half-time, the hosts hit the front through Ronaldo. Pjanic played a short free-kick to the edge of the box, catching Samp’s defence off guard, with Ronaldo on hand to send a brilliant first-time finish into the bottom-right corner.

  37. 45'+6'

A booking now for Tonelli, who had to pull back Rabiot to prevent the midfielder driving through towards the box.22:37

  38. 45'+3'

    HALF-TIME: JUVENTUS 1-0 SAMPDORIA.22:39

  39. 45'+3'

Ronaldo and Bernardeschi line up a free-kick on the edge of the box, which the latter takes charge of. However, his effort sails over the bar.22:34

  40. 45'+2'

Thorsby gets a card for bringing down Rabiot.22:34

  41. 45'+1'

Given that long stoppage for Danilo’s head injury, there will be six minutes of stoppage time.22:34

  42. 45'

Pjanic has gone into the book after pulling back Ramirez.22:30

  43. 44'

SAVE! Pjanic robs possession back high upfield and tees up Ronaldo, who lays it off first-time to Bernardeschi. He gets off a snapshot from 20 yards out, but Audero makes the stop.22:30

  44. 42'

Despite losing their last match against Genoa, Samp remain the team with the most wins since start of July in Serie A, with five victories, while Juve have managed to win only two games so far this month.22:27

  45. 40'

A change for Juve, as Dybala is forced off with what appears to be a quad issue. Higuain is on in his place.22:27

  46. 38'

CHANCE! That could easily have been 1-0 to Samp! Jankto got beyond Cuadrado and cut it back to Quagliarella, only for the striker to send a tame effort straight at Szczesny.22:23

  47. 36'

Tonelli teases Rabiot and then proceeds to skip past the Juve midfielder. He takes on a further two players before laying it off, with Samp switching the play out to Quagliarella on the right. The veteran forward unleashes a wicked strike, but Szczesny is well placed to deal with it.22:21

  48. 34'

Bernardeschi brings a header from Pjanic down brilliantly, but his second touch lets him down, as he drags his attempted volley well wide.22:19

  49. 32'

With Bernardeschi coming on, Cuadrado has moved to right-back, with the former Fiorentina playmaker taking up a position ahead of him.22:17

  50. 30'

Ramirez, meanwhile, has had a bandage placed around his head but has been deemed fit to continue.22:15

  51. 29'

Indeed, Danilo is not going to be okay to carry on. He has been replaced by Bernardeschi.22:14

  52. 26'

It would certainly be a surprise to see Danilo carry on, here. The full-back looks extremely raised. While he and Ramirez receive treatment, there will be a drinks break.22:14

  53. 24'

Both Ramirez and Danilo will now require some medical attention, after the pair clashed heads in Juve’s area. The Juve defender appears to have come off worse, and has a clear mark on his temple.22:10

  54. 22'

Ronaldo is again the target as Cuadrado lifts in a cross, but the Colombia winger gets too much on it. Meanwhile, Samp have made a change, replacing the injured Chabot with Leris.22:08

  55. 21'

Chabot is again down receiving treatment on the touchline, and it looks like Samp are readying a change.22:07

  56. 20'

CLOSE! That looked set to be the opener for Juve, as Ronaldo met a cross from Matuidi. He directed his header back in the direction the ball came from, but Audero sticks out a leg to keep it out. Much to Ronaldo’s frustration, however, the referee blows up for a foul.22:06

  57. 18'

Ronaldo makes a run down the left, but just went too early and the offside flag is raised.22:04

  58. 16'

Juve have found the net in each of their last 10 home games against Samp, scoring 29 goals in total.22:02

  59. 14'

Extremely poor from De Ligt, who knocks a pass back to Szczesny straight out of play, after Juve got themselves penned in at the back.22:00

  60. 12'

Chabot has received treatment and will be fine to carry on.21:57

  61. 11'

A first real opening of the match for Juve, as Rabiot intercepts a slack pass and gets the hosts on the break. He tees up Ronaldo, but the forward’s touch is a heavy one and Chabot makes a fine block, taking a knock for his troubles, and he’ll need some treatment.21:56

  62. 9'

Juve have stamped some authority on proceedings now, and are knocking the ball about crisply, working patient moves forward. Samp, though, are staying in their shape.21:55

  63. 7'

Juve and and Samp have previously met 123 times in Serie A, with the Old Lady winning 60 times compared to 26 victories for the side from Genoa.21:53

  64. 5'

An opportunity now for Samp, as Ramirez meets a cross from Augello. The former Southampton playmaker gets plenty of power on his effort, but directs it too close to Szczesny.21:51

  65. 3'

Great defending from Tonelli, who races back to prevent Ronaldo getting a shot off after he was teed up by Dybala. In the process of making the interception, the Samp defender also draws a foul, relieving the pressure on the visitors’ line.21:48

  66. 1'

KICK-OFF! Samp get proceedings up and running.21:45

  67. The teams are out in Turin, with Juve just one win away from the title. Kick-off is next!21:43

  68. Five changes from Claudio Ranieri – Linetty, Jankto, Thorsby, Yoshida, Augello and Audero keep their places from the side that lost to Genoa last time out.21:40

  69. SAMPDORIA SUBSTITUTES: Manolo Gabbiadini, Nicola Murru, Andrea Seculin, Antonio La Gumina, Andrea Bertolacci, Alex Ferrari, Federico Bonazzoli, Kristoffer Askildsen, Kaique Rocha, Mehdi Leris, Gonzalo Maroni, Wladimiro Falcone.21:40

  70. SAMPDORIA (3-5-2): Emil Audero; Julian Chabot, Maya Yoshida, Lorenzo Tonelli; Fabio Depaoli, Karol Linetty, Jakub Jankto, Morten Thorsby, Tommaso Augello; Fabio Quagliarella, Gaston Ramirez.21:40

  71. Juve lost 2-1 to Udinese in dramatic fashion on Thursday, and Sarri has made four changes in total. Out go Rugani, Bentancur, Ramsey and Bernardeschi, with Bonucci, Barcelona-bound Pjanic, Matuidi and Cuadrado coming into the starting XI.21:35

  72. JUVENTUS SUBSTITUTES: Gianluigi Buffon, Carlo Pinsoglio, Daniele Rugani, Merih Demiral, Aaron Ramsey, Rodrigo Bentancur, Simone Muratore, Gonzalo Higuain, Federico Bernardeschi, Marco Olivieri, Luca Zanimacchia.21:34

  73. JUVENTUS (4-3-3): Wojciech Szczesny; Danilo, Leonardo Bonucci, Matthijs de Ligt, Alex Sandro; Adrien Rabiot, Miralem Pjanic, Blaise Matuidi; Juan Cuadrado, Paulo Dybala, Cristiano Ronaldo.21:34

  74. A victory would send Maurizio Sarri’s side seven points clear at the top with two games left to play. Sampdoria, meanwhile, have little to play for, as they sit safely in 15th.21:28

  75. It is simple enough for Juve. A win today against Sampdoria would see them secure another Scudetto, and bring to an end what has been a fascinating title race.21:22
