After an action-packed second half, the points are shared between Milan and Udinese. Following a quiet opening half, the game burst into life after the break, with Romagnoli clearing Nestorovski’s header off the line on 48 minutes. The visitors then took the lead 20 minutes later when Becao rose highest to turn De Paul’s corner beyond Donnarumma. In the closing stages, Larsen conceded a penalty with minutes left to play, and Kessie made no mistake from the spot to earn Pioli’s side a point.

In their next Serie A outing, Milan travel to Hellas Verona looking to build on this result. Udinese, meanwhile, will be hoping to make it four top-flight matches without defeat when they host Sassuolo.

That brings an end to our coverage of the Serie A fixture between Milan and Udinese at San Siro. Thank you very much for joining us. Goodbye!

WIDE! Rebic again creates space to get down the left flank before pulling the ball back to the edge of the box. Leao and Saelemaekers get in each other’s way, before Hernandez steers a left-footed shot wide of the far post. 22:44

  5. 90'+3'

Kessie is the latest player to go into the book for dissent. 22:42

  6. 90'+2'

PENALTY? From the resulting set-piece, Llorente goes down under pressure from Kjaer, but the referee waves away the protests. 22:42

  9. 88'

CRUCIAL BLOCK! Rebic whips a cross from the left deep into the box, which Saelemaekers lays off to Calabria on the edge of the penalty area. The defender sees his first effort closed down, before the rebound deflects behind for a corner off Becao. 22:38

The visitors have won just one of their last 13 matches at San Siro against Milan in Serie A. Their last win came via a Stipe Perica goal in September 2016. 22:39

  11. 85'

Udinese are now down to 10 men following that injury to Samir. Having made all of their substitutes, they are unable to replace him.22:39

  12. 84'

Samir is now down and in need of treatment after stretching to try and dispossess Calabria down the right flank. He is now back to his feet but moving tentatively. It looks as if he will be unable to continue as he heads back down the tunnel.22:36

  13. 82'

Following that earlier injury, Pereyra is replaced by Samir for the closing stages. 22:30

  14. 81'

There will be a brief stoppage in play as Pereyra is down and in need of medical attention. 22:29

  15. 79'

Nestorovski impedes Kjaer and the referee awards a free-kick to the home side deep inside their own half. 22:29

  16. 77'

JUST WIDE! Milan attack down the right with Calabria, who picks out a cross after being set free by Saelemaekers. Leao does well to hold off his man and steer a header towards goal, although it just bounces wide to the right of Musso’s goal. 22:27

  17. 75'

In an effort to draw level, Pioli brings on Saelemaekers for Castillejo. 22:24

  18. 73'

Kjaer launches a forward ball down the left-hand side of the field for Meite, although the midfielder just went a fraction too early and the flag goes up for offside. 22:23

  19. 71'

It is a double change for Udinese with Walace coming on for Arslan. There are 19 minutes of normal time left to play. 22:22

  21. 70'

Meite is caught by Zeegelaar down the right flank, and Milan win a free-kick. 22:19

  22. 68'

De Paul's delivery for the goal was pinpoint. The Argentine floated a pacy, out-swinging corner in towards the penalty spot, and Becao showed great desire to meet the set-piece. A well-worked routine has undone the hosts.23:00

  23. 68'

GOAL! Udinese take the lead! From the resulting set-piece, De Paul picks out Becao in the centre of the box, and the defender rises highest to head the ball beyond Donnarumma, who may have been put off by Nestorovski. 1-0.

    See Rodrigo Becão's player card22:38

    Rodrigo Becão
  24. 68'

Some neat link-up play down the right sets Molina away in behind the Milan defence, and Kjaer goes to ground to block the cross and turn it behind for a corner. 22:16

  25. 67'

Only Inter (15) have picked up more points than Udinese (10) in the last five Serie A matches. 22:15

  26. 65'

OPENING! Pereyra gets away down the left and lofts a cross in towards the far post. Hernandez misses the delivery and it falls to De Paul, although his first-time effort fizzes wide to the right of Donnarumma’s goal. 22:14

  27. 63'

It is a double substitution for the home side. Calabria enters the fray in place of Kalulu. 22:13

  28. 63'

Milan make their second change of the match, with Diaz making way for Hauge.22:12

  29. 62'

Hernandez drives down the left side of the penalty area and wins a corner off Arslan. Nestorovski is caught by Rebic after clearing the set-piece at the near post, and Udinese get the free-kick. 22:12

  30. 60'

Following a foul from Kjaer on Nestorovski, Udinese win a free-kick midway inside the hosts’ half. De Paul’s delivery is nodded down at the back post by Nuytinck, before being hooked away by Meite. 22:10

  31. 58'

GOOD EFFORT! Castillejo picks the ball up a fair way outside of the visitors’ penalty area, and opts to try his luck. The Spaniard hits his strike cleanly, and Musso is down to his left to keep it out. 22:08

  32. 56'

Gotti opts to make his first alteration, bringing on Llorente for Makengo. It remains 0-0. 22:04

  33. 54'

Meite looks to break with the ball and drive at the visitors’ defence, but he is cynically pulled back by Zeegelaar, who is shown a yellow card. 22:07

  34. 52'

CLOSE! From the resulting corner, Kessie connects with Hernandez’s in-swinging delivery, and Musso is quickly across to his left to parry the ball away from the top-right corner. 22:01

  35. 50'

GREAT SAVE! Diaz lays the ball off to Meite on the edge of the penalty area, and the substitute’s first-time shot is tipped over the bar by Musso. 22:00

  36. 48'

WHAT A CLEARANCE! Pereyra capitalises on Hernandez’s short back pass, rounds Donnarumma, and floats a cross into the box from an acute angle. Completely unmarked, Nestorovski heads the delivery towards goal from the centre of the area, and Romagnoli somehow hooks it off the line. 21:58

  37. 46'

We are back underway! Massa, the referee, blows his whistle and Milan get the second half kicked off. 21:54

  38. 46'

Pioli is forced into making one change at the break. Tonali, who picked up an injury, is replaced by Meite.21:54

  39. After the break, Pioli will be hoping that his side can turn their control into opportunities. Having made two key passes in the first half, Tonali will be key if the Rossoneri are to break the deadlock in the remaining minutes. Udinese, on the other hand, have defended well thus far, and that will please Gotti. Offensively, however, they have offered very little. Molina has looked bright down the right-hand side of the field, and the visitors will need to get him involved at every opportunity if they are to find a way through in the second half.21:53

  40. Following an evenly-matched opening half, there is nothing to separate Milan and Udinese at the break. Despite dominating possession, the hosts have failed to carve out too many clear-cut chances. Diaz had a long-range effort kept out by Musso after 19 minutes, before Castillejo was later denied by the Argentine seven minutes from the break. Udinese’s best opening fell to Pereyra, although his first-time strike was closed down by Kjaer shortly after the half-hour mark. 21:40

  41. 45'+2'

HALF TIME: MILAN 0-0 UDINESE 21:35

  42. 45'+1'

Kjaer gets across to turn De Paul’s cross from deep behind for a corner. The midfielder goes across to take the resulting set-piece, and Kalulu rises well at the near post to head the delivery away. 21:35

  43. 45'

There will be two minutes of added time at the end of the first half. 21:33

  44. 44'

Kalulu finds Kessie on the edge of the box, and the Ivorian looks to float a first-time cross into Leao’s path. The delivery, however, is overhit and runs out for a goal-kick. 21:32

  45. 42'

Bonifazi tries to pick out Zeegelaar with a long, searching pass down the left, although the winger is flagged as offside. 21:30

  46. 40'

SMART SAVE! Castillejo picks the ball up a few yards outside of the Udinese penalty area, spins away from Nuytinck and drives in the box. The Spaniard goes for goal with his right foot, but his effort is kept out by Musso’s outstretched leg. 21:29

  47. 38'

OPENING! Tonali whips an inviting free-kick in from the right flank, which Udinese fail to deal with. After several ricochets, Leao sees an acrobatic, close-range flick easily claimed by Musso. 21:28

  48. 36'

BLOCK! Molina plays a clever one-two with De Paul and drives down the right-hand side of the field. After getting into an advanced position, the winger picks out Pereyra on the edge of the box, and Kjaer stands tall to block the Argentine’s low strike. 21:25

  49. 35'

The rhythm of the game is being upset by a number of cynical fouls. Kessie this time catches Nestorovski, and the Friulians win a free-kick just inside their own half. 21:23

  50. 33'

De Paul takes the resulting free-kick, which Arslan nods back across goal at the far post, and Kessie is well-placed to clear the danger in the centre of the penalty area.21:21

  51. 32'

After some clever play, Molina gets set free in an advanced position down the right, and Hernandez takes him out with an assertive sliding challenge. The Frenchman is shown a yellow card, which he can have no complaints about. 21:20

  52. 31'

De Paul finds Molina down the right flank, and his cross is blocked out for a throw-in by Tonali. 21:19

  53. 30'

Kalulu finds himself in space down the right and opts to whip an inviting cross into the away side's penalty area. Nuytinck, however, powerfully heads the delivery away. 21:18

  54. 28'

Hernandez looks to set Leao away in behind with a pinpoint throughball down the left wing. Bonifazi spots the danger and gets across to deal with the threat. 21:16

  55. 26'

Thus far in the game, Milan have had 76 per cent of the possession. 21:13

  56. 24'

After making a well-timed tackle, Becao gets caught in the face by Rebic’s trailing leg. The Croatian picks up the first yellow card of the game. 21:13

  57. 22'

Nestorovski goes for goal with an ambitious half-volley from distance, and Donnarumma watches it fly well over the top of his goal. 21:10

  58. 21'

Udinese are enjoying their best spell at present. De Paul looks to drive beyond Kessie in the middle of the pitch, but the Ivorian is too strong and regains possession for the hosts. 21:09

  59. 19'

SAVE! Diaz picks the ball up on the edge of the area, cuts inside and goes for goal with a curling, right-footed shot. Musso is quickly down to his left to claim the effort. 21:08

  60. 18'

PENALTY? Following some neat play down the right flank, the ball gets passed into the box for Kessie, who attempts to spin away from Arslan. The Ivorian went to ground claiming that he was pulled down by the Udinese midfielder, but the referee was well-placed to wave away the protests. 21:06

  61. 16'

Leao catches Becao from behind midway inside the visitors’ half, and the decision goes in favour of Udinese, who get a free-kick. 21:04

  62. 14'

Castillejo looks to play a neat one-two with Tonali down the right-hand side of the pitch, but Nuytinck is alert to the danger and intercepts the pass. 21:02

  63. 12'

Hernandez is caught a little late by De Paul on the halfway line, and the hosts are awarded a free-kick. 21:00

  64. 10'

Tonali’s out-swinging corner from the right is steered in towards the near post, and Becao knocks it behind for another set-piece, which is easily dealt with. 20:59

  65. 8'

Rebic knocks the ball back to Hernandez in an advanced position down the left. The full-back cuts inside and looks to play a return pass, although it is blocked by De Paul. 20:56

  66. 6'

De Paul wriggles away from Rebic down the right-hand side of the field and wins a free-kick after being pulled back by the Croatian. 20:54

  67. 5'

The home side have quickly settled into their rhythm in the opening stages. Leao does well to take down a long pass from Romagnoli, but Becao gets across to make a vital interception on the edge of the box. 20:53

  68. 3'

There is going to be a brief stoppage in play as Kjaer is down and in need of treatment after a collision with Nuytinck from that earlier corner. He is now back to his feet and looks fine to continue. 20:50

  69. 2'

Hernandez floats an out-swinging corner in from the left, and Molina nods it to safety in the centre of the box. 20:49

  70. 1'

Kick off! The referee, Davide Massa, blows his whistle and Udinese get the game underway. 20:47

  71. The teams are out, and kick-off will soon be upon us here at San Siro. 20:43
