Both sides share the spoils after playing out a 1-1 draw here in Bergamo. It was a fairly lifeless affair until Martinez opened the scoring in the 58th minute, latching on to a cross from Young to give Inter the lead. But the hosts fought back and deservedly levelled in the 79th minute after a spell of pressure. Miranchuk received the ball on the edge of the area before working space to shoot and firing into the bottom corner. The home side looked the more likely to go on and win but had to settle for a draw, which was probably fair on the balance of play.
With Juventus winning earlier, the result means Atalanta are now fifth with Inter a point behind in sixth. However, Napoli and Verona can leapfrog them with victories later on Sunday. Atalanta are next in action on November 21 with an away clash against Spezia while Inter take on Torino at home the following day. The international break is next so both coaches will be hoping their players come through unscathed.
