Inter move to the top of Serie A courtesy of a 3-1 win over Lazio at San Siro this evening. Romelu Lukaku was the star man for the Nerazzurri. He scored twice in the first half, converting from the penalty spot and then from close range with the aid of a VAR decision. The visitors threatened to rally in the second period when Gonzalo Escalante deflected Sergej Milinkovic-Savic's free-kick past Samir Handanovic. However, Lukaku responded with a driving run at the Lazio defence before placing a perfect cross for Lautaro Martinez to score at the back post to secure the three points.
Inter are next in action in the Milan derby next Sunday in a fierce battle at the top of the table. Lazio host Sampdoria in their next outing in Serie A on Saturday.
